Nice maybe if you post a few more times about him he will make the On3 300
Now that the regular season has ended, it's time for my periodic update. Here are the numbers for Briggs Cherry at Baylor School in Chattanooga.
2025 - 2,387 yards, 24 tds, 0 INTs
2024 - 2,718 yards, 31tds, 3 INTs (includes playoffs)
He goes into the playoffs 21-1 as a starter with his only loss being by 6-points in the State Championship Game last December. On3 has him listed as the 27th rated QB and 354 on their list. Of course, they also have Baylor School listed as in Knoxville, which is only about 100 miles away from Chattanooga.
Still not on the On3 top 300 list.

24-0 ratio is crazy. What level of football is he playing in? Did he attend camps?

The largest Private School classification in Tennessee (DII-AAA). Of course, it changes by year...but in 2023, High School America ranked it as the 4th hardest division in the US.

He was an Elite 11 Finalist and won the " Panini Accuracy Challenge" setting an all-time record at the event.
ETA...his team (Baylor School) is #22 on the MaxPreps 300 Rankings.

About the same level as Arch

Some scouting reports say he is not mobile at all. Not sure if true but I’d have to think that factors in.

His 40 times that I've seen haven't been great, and I'm guessing that is the knock on him. On3did an update last week on some of their top QBs and he was included. I would add that, with the RB that he has ( David Gabriel Georges), he isn't throwing as much as he otherwise would.
That being said, there is a reason he isn't considered a Dual Threat QB.

You called it. With the latest update, the kid I've been touted still didn't make the On3 top 300. While his team is undefeated and still playing, I'm sure this will be the last of the ranking updates, where he sits at #308.
ETA...Baylor school finished the season undefeated, winning the state championship 28-24.
Briggs Cherry finished his HS career with a record of 24-1. He finished the 2025 season with a 75% completion rate, throwing for over 2,900 yards, 32 TDs and 2 INTs. For his 2 years as a starter, he completed 72% of his passes for over 5,600 yards, 63 TDs and 5 INTs with 1 State Championship and 1 State Runner-Up. He had offers from Georgia Tech Syracuse, Pitt and Ole Miss, but signed with Louisville on Wednesday. Still, wasn't good enough to make the top 300...so, you called it.
Baylor school finished the season ranked #17 Nationally by Max Preps and #13 by HSFA.
ETA...(another edit). Looks like he was named a Navy All-American and will play in the Navy All-American Bowl. Still didn't break the top 300 for On3, though.

From all the way back to March 2024...till now...my final post on this kid.
HYDRebs called it that he didn't finish in the On3 300 for 2026. Yesterday, however, he was named USA Top 100 National Player of the Year. He was an early enrollee at Louisville and has already started classes...so I'll stop pushing him on the recruiting board. I do think that SEC schools missed out on this kid because Louisville got in early on him.
ETA...I first posted about this kid on here in March 2024. He got his first HS start 5 months later and would win 24 of his 25 starts (only loss was a 6-point loss in the State Championship game his Junior Season). So, I was wrong thinking he'd break into the On3 list...but was pretty accurate in him being a talented kid to have on the radar.

Watch for a QB to join this list as the '24 season progresses. Briggs Cherry has been waiting in the wings, and will be taking over the QB position at Chattanooga Baylor. He's tall, but needs to put on some weight...but he's got amazing touch and vision.

I hope your son has a good season

All good MadMax.
Couldn't tell you anything about the kid but the odds of him playing all 4-5 seasons at the Univ of Louisville is miniscule at best in today's college football world. Hopefully he shows out and lands a starting role at a solid Division 1 program before his eligibility is up.
