Young was knocked down on the sideline during the last series and I’m pretty certain the side judge told him “you fell” and wasn’t pushed down.

Its not gonna matter because they can’t stop MD, but it’s still sad that these grown arse adults are being so blatantly biased. These are 15-18 year old kids.

You can bet Mater Dei won’t be back and a lot of other big time programs around the country will see this and think twice about playing over there

This St Johns RB reminds me of Ja’mar Toombs at Texas A&M from about 20 years ago.

Gotta be Lane.

I like this kid's athleticism. Hopefully Alabama offers as a DT next year.

Nope. Thinking of Toombs. He was 6-1 270 or so. Played RB/FB for Texas A&M in the late 90s into 2000s.

I don't know, for as big as he is, he was on the ground more than Patrick Peterson in the month of November.

Young puts on passing clinic Friday night (BamaOnLine | includes video)
quote:

In his first game as an Alabama commit 247Sports five-star quarterback Bryce Young showcased his skillset in a 53-24 win over St. John's College on the road in Washington. D.C. On the evening, Young was 26 of 37 passing for 416 yards and five touchdowns. The Monarchs move to 5-0 on the season.

This marks the second game in a row Young has dismantled a defense chock-full of Division I talent. Two weekend ago, Young led Mater Dei to a big win over St. Frances Academy, scoring four touchdowns on the ground.

Ranked the No. 1 dual-threat QB in the nation, per 247Sports, Young has certainly showcased his ability through the air and on the ground thus far in 2019. On the season Young has passed for 1,688 yards and 19 touchdowns to just one interception.

247Sports' Greg Biggins broke down what Young will bring to the table at Alabama recently... (more)
