St. John’s lucky on the first drive. Ball was clearly stripped and recovered for defensive TD, but refs called it incomplete pass

TD St. John’s. Deep pass on 3rd and long to one of their Jr. receivers

Jarrett had a big slant reception on that drive. For obvious reasons, he is who I will be watching the whole game.

Understandable. I expect he’ll have a good game

His stats have been pedestrian so far this season, largely as a result of some consistent double teams so far. Idk if Mater dei will double team him but they didn’t on that slant. Hopefully he can have a big game.

TD Mater Dei. Young to Epps on 4th and goal. Kid looks like a natural. Ball zips out with a tight spiral

Not sure why you got downvoted. Those two calls weren’t even close...

And I’m pulling for St. John’s

That BYU commit QB throws an ugly ball, but he's accurate.

If I’m the Mater Dei coach this ref is smelling what I had for lunch at the half. They’ve single handedly kept SJ in the game

Meh. Those last 2 St. John’s TD has nothing to do with the refs. I guess without the refs messups it would be a 1 score game in favor of Mater Dei, but nothing more than that.

They’ve cost them 10 points potentially, the “holding” call at the end there came about 45 seconds after the play. The strip sack and the lateral were...egregious.

Damn young is a much better passer than I was aware of. His highlight vids don’t do him justice

No idea about the size of his hands- but he throws it like a kid with really big hands. Ball just zips out and goes where he wants it to

Already can throw the slant to perfection.

And those RPOs.

Young has big hands and a good frame to add weight.
