You're not even making sense. On one hand damn near all the LSU posters here say Dupre is a lock or silent; impossible to go anywhere else/he's recruiting for LSU. On the other hand we Gumps feel FSU is a definite threat, possibly leading right now and won't attack and insult him, his parents and entire family if he doesn't choose our school.

There is a difference.

I really hope he comes, but if he doesn't.... just like Jameis I won't be saying he got paid, I won't insult his family and I won't insult the kid.

I'm sure even the LSU recruits who read LSUrb to see peoples thoughts can even see that difference.

I don't either.

From what I've read Bobby is supportive of his son making his own decisions.

Madrecus wasn't good enough for a Bama offer. No shame in that. What could Bobby have done? Waved a wand and made him better?

I'm not arguing how good or bad his older son is, I'm saying he has a son who didn't go to Bama it isn't life or death for the man if the younger one doesn't as well.

Besides what I've read Bobby is allowing him to make his own decision and doesn't want to force anything on him.

Maudrecus would've jumped on a Bama offer. That's what I was told by one of Bobby's co-workers back in 2010. The fact that he didn't go to Bama should in no way be interpreted as an indication that Bobby doesn't want his son(s) at Bama because he does. It wasn't relevant with Maudrecus, it is with Marlon.

Sarc, I hope you're right and Marlon comes, but I won't be surprised if the "allure" of FSU pulls him away.

I think Bobby had an idea about Maudrecus also being a bit of a hellraiser, sadly he was & it reared its ugly head & he is now at UAB

Sarc is absolutely spot on though

Im pretty sure he could've got his other son in at Bama if he really wanted or just had to have his sons go to Bama just saying. Maybe not on scholarship but that kid had enough athletic ability where he would've earned a scholarship. Saw someone from Hoover say he was more athletic than Marlon. I think as Bama fans we tend not to take peoples words when they say shite. His dad said its his sons decision soo... If it was me I would be kind of upset that my bro didn't get offered.

Again, I really wouldn't read anything into the fact that Maudrecus chose to accept a scholarship at another school rather than walk-on at Bama. I think that's what most people would do.

Guess he'd be upset at FSU and just about every other major program too then...

If people are trying to imply that Bobby is somehow pissed at Alabama for not offering his oldest son, please explain why they are at games nearly every week?

That's totally different and you know it. Don't even know why I try sometime lol.

What would you do? Id walk on at Bama. That's just because I love it that much. Maybe they don't. That's my point. At the end of the day I think his brother getting in trouble will probably help us out. They probably don't want him to go that far. Anyway im not going to stress over this. Something tells me that's what this kid wants.

If I was offered a walk-on spot in a run first oriented offense at Bama where the percentage of me even making the team is fairly low vs accepting a scholly at Arkansas with Bobby Petrino as the HC running a WR friendly system very similar to my HS system at Hoover?

The point is it's not like he was offered by other top tier programs either. If he had, then maybe I could see the family viewing it as a snub. But that's not the case. He wasn't a recruit of that caliber and I'm sure the Humphreys understand that.

And sometimes I don't know why I try. Like I said, if Bama had offered he would've ended his recruitment right there.

I've pretty much set it up in my mind that he's going to FSU. Would it suck? Sure it would. But I'd get over it instantly.

No one has implied this (well at least I haven't). I have just pointed out that Bobby has said he will allow Marlon to make his own decision.
