The same Lane Train with the #1 transferred in class via the portal?

Love to have him, but I just cannot see it with our current DL haul. I mean, damn!

I think Oklahoma will be tougher to beat than people think. Hes a legacy, there will be significant PT if not a starting spot to be had day 1, and with Venables and Roof I think they really pick it up with the defensive guy.

Sounds like it's about to be official on the reclassifying.

Only 4 DL play at once. What on earth are we doing? We’re going to have a 2 deep better than most teams starters at this rate.

Better A&M than UGA. Will see him less snaps now. A&M very deep on Dline. Looking forward some of these guys transferring right before their junior year

The cream will rise to the top. The rest can transfer out.

I agree. But this also means A&M's class probably isn't as good as we think it is

Just means A&M ‘s class is more a sure thing. It’s all a numbers game.
Team A has 4 misses on the DL
Team B has 3 misses on the DL
Team A recruited 8 top tier DL. 4 misses means 4 hits.
Team B recruited 5 top tier DL. 3 misses means 2 hit. That means they’re playing lesser guys or needing the portal or both.

Here's the current status for the Defensive Linemen from the 2019-2021 classes:
2019
DeMarvin Leal - declared for draft
Braeden Mowry - grayshirted and signed in 2020, has not played
Derick Hunter - moved to offensive line
Adarious Jones - played in 2019, out all of 2020 due to injury, played in 2021
RJ Orebo - moved from lb to DL, graduated and is now in the portal
2020
Donell Harris - played a decent amount in 2021, redshirted in 2020
McKinnley Jackson - returning starter
Antonio Doyle - moved from LB to DL, transferred to Jackson State
Fadil Diggs - played a decent amount in 2021, redshirted in 2020
Isaiah Raikes - played a decent amount in 2020 and 2021
Dallas Walker - played sparingly in 2020 and 2021
Jordan Jefferson - moved from OL to DL, has not played
2021
Shemar Turner - played significantly in 2021
Tunmise Adeleye - injured in 2021
Marcus Burris - redshirted in 2021
Elijah Jeudy - redshirted in 2021
Jahzion Harris - redshirted in 2021
Albert Regis - redshirted in 2021
The majority of snaps in 2021 were played by Leal, Peevy (SR), Clemons (SR), Johnson (SR), Jackson, Turner and Raikes

Just seems like y’all are creating a bottleneck effect at certain positions. While oline and lb class seem to be lacking.
PJ Williams is listed 6’4 265. Seems small to me.
But you have a ton of DL guys and your top two prospects from last year were (you guessed it) DL.

As I understand it, he's taking all 5 OVs and then deciding in April.
Also, as I said before, he will not play this year. He is physically not ready to play on the DL in the SEC. He's coming off a freak injury this past fall that nearly cost him nerves in his foot.

Interesting. Well I'd much rather him go to Aggie than the dawgs. Think he would make a much larger impact with UGA. Kirby can coach defense, no doubt.

Hunter Erb is not (6'6, 325). Neither is Kam Dewberry (6'4 313) or Mark Nabou (6'4 330).
As far as linebacker, Perkins only had 29 total tackles on the season. Both Ish Harris (57 tackles, splitting time at LB/RB) and Martrell Harris (67 tackles) had twice that in fewer games.
It is much easier for a linebacker to have production when 2 or more of the defensive linemen in front of him require double and triple teams. Having Walter Nolen, Shemar Turner, Anthony Lucas and Shemar Stewart on the line at the same time with Stewart playing EDGE is an absolute matchup nightmare for any offensive line.

Hunter Erb seems meh. Kam Dewberry seems quality but is most likely a guard. Fatheree looks good so far. I just don't see an elite Oline.
Jimbo will need the portal to protect Weigman in 23 and 24
