Curtis Givens, #64 overall, commits.

Huge get for Coach McMahon to pair with four-star power forward Robert Miller.

Considering Arkansas is a much better basketball program than LSU, it shouldn’t surprise you. Muss will get you to the NBA, if you’re good enough.

LSU has a pretty damn good basketball history itself. And Wade recently got numerous guys to the league. Angel Reese did us a big favor with many of these African-American athletes too. She has put a spotlight for basketball on the school whether you like it or not. We have a lot of guys coming to visit that are very talented. You know deep down were a sleeping giant

And you’re using NIL too so stop acting like a hypocrite.

We all know LSU was using “NIL” before it was a thing. In all sports. Wade’s “strong arse offers.”

No one cares about women’s sports.

Yeah, just like Arkansas has a pretty damn good football history itself. Not that you’ll admit to it.

OK bro. Let me know the next time a pistol Pete, or Shaq walks out your school doors. Ive only been into football since the 90’s…so just remind me of the history of Arkansas football that I am not aware of?

LSU is top 10 all time signing McDonald’s all Americans. Arkansas wishes it had our slush fund

You realize football was played before the 90’s, right? Arkansas is regarded as a top 25 all-time program by college football publications and in the top 25 in all-time wins. Not saying Arkansas is a powerhouse, but we’re a good program.

Do you know anything about basketball besides Pistol Pete and Shaq? Arkansas has a natty and a runner up, plus more Final Fours, Elite Eights, etc. All more than LSU.

I'm probably going to regret getting in the middle of this because it's going to seem like i'm trolling, but I have to ask for some clarification to make sure I understand this comment. Are you saying that top 100 men's basketball recruits are considering LSU because Angel Reese and the LSU women's basketball team is good?

No b/c angel Reese is one of the most famous African-American athletes in the world right now. Man or woman. No one here wants to accept that. She makes more NIL money than all your football players. If you didn’t notice the amount of professional black athletes that started following her (men and women) and the amount of insane PR it brought our basketball programs, then you’re just not paying attention. And it wasn’t just the pro athletes it’s black rappers, actors, all sorts of famous people. Yes, that has shone a bright light on our basketball programs whether she is a male or female. Recruits have yes noticed it. You tell me that’s a bad thing.

At the end of the day, no one is trading LSU’s athletic success and potential for Arkansas’.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing at all. What I am saying is very few recruits are going to LSU (or just about anywhere for that matter) if they have a better option via NIL. If a player is choosing LSU because Angel Reese is famous and has a bunch of social media followers over a better opportunity elsewhere - whether it be fit or NIL or playing time - they are not making a very smart decision for their future imo.

Now if you're saying it is helping LSU make a top ten list for a guy or "be a hat on the table" for a commitment video, that is a savvy move by the recruit and makes sense to me.

You’re really showing your age buddy. I don’t think you understand how 17 year olds think these days.
