According to Shea on 247, who always reports what he hears and not what he wants to hear, Chavis himself was pushing Garrett out before he left LSU. Why does he want him now?

Garrett played like 2 snaps in LSUs Spring game this year. LB depth for us is extremely poor. That should answer your question on Garrett. I was really pulling for him too.
Valentine has the most on field potential by far of the 3.

None of those guys are "elite" and none are as highly regarded as Valentine or Garrett coming out of school. In addition those guys know Chavis' system already and would provide great depth.

You really can't take much fr a Spring game. Coaches aren't trying to show much before the season starts.

Not getting to play in a spring game is telling.

You can tell a lot when you barely even get to play in a spring game. Walk ons got more playing time than Garrett did. It's not like they are going to barely play someone who is good. Fact is he was just not developing at all.

In terms of playcalling, you're correct. In terms of playing time for a former 5 star who is at a position you have a serious lack of depth, it's very telling. A&M should only go after Valentine IMO, if you can get him to take school serious he can be a contributor.

The worst part of this whole deal was that we gave Kenny Young the cold shoulder while giving Garrett all the love. Maybe Kenny would have still ended up at UCLA but it was definitely a mistake to not make him the priority that year as far as being our top LB target. Man he has looked really good at UCLA.

Kenny Young looks good.
I have no interest whatsoever in an underachieving 5 star.
Now the Valentine guy that needs some academic work might be a really good get.

Guys, remember that LMFAO was a package deal with the Teuhema brothers. He is a gr8 friend of theirs. LSU had no interest in him. Kinda like Lanard Fournette, Leonard's bro

there is no way A&M takes LMFAO, the guy has mental issues, just no way.
Garrett refuses to take football and college serious. He likes the perks but not the work.
TV, good luck with that. He is a unicorn. If you get him serious and on the field, you might have the best dt on cfb, but like i said good luck with that.

He's turning out to be the best one at Arizona Western
Garrett is like 5th on the team in tackles among LBs????
Valentine has like 9 tackles in 4 games.

Someone will take him. He's going to get another shot somewhere. Probably at a Utah St or Nevada or even maybe a Oklahoma St.
