What are your thoughts on him? Do you think his LSU "offer" will ever become commitable?

The reason I ask is because it seems like thing are heating up between him and Arkansas since we landed Jared Cornelius.

I know he tried to commit to LSU once but was told to wait since you guys are in on some much more highly rated guys. However, I don't want to see us wasting our time on him if it seems like there will be space in LSU's class because we all know that he would jump.

It's hard to tell at this point. I know our coaches will continue to monitor and recruit him throught the season.

I found it odd that one of yalls guys said he was the best DB at yalls camp yet yall didnt offer him but instead offered some other DBs.

I think the line of thought at the time was that he was going to/wanted to go to LSU and wasn't that interested in anyone else.

This newfound interest seems to stem from Cornelius being in his ear now.

The biggest thing to take from landing him is that it would give us 6 guys from Louisiana in this class. I think that would be one less than we've signed total in the last decade.

Combo of how the numbers shake out and how he plays this season. He is legit though, versatile as well.

His offer is not contingent on other guys we're recruiting. His offer is contingent on how physical he is when pads are on. The staff likes his coverage skills, but they want to see more real action.

Thanks for the clarification.

I would definitely love to pick him up if we can.

He's pretty much a textbook case of why I don't care about Louisiana high schools recruiting. He went to a large public school with a shitty football program and a coach that didn't work to get his players exposure or take them to camps.

Obviously the kid has SEC level talent. He transfers to Evangel, one of the first things they do is get him on the camp circuit and he explodes.

This is more an argument for the public school idiots on the MSB, but anyone that can't see the benefit for the student athlete is trying not to.

Hard to tell how interested he is in LSU At this point, and absolutely no telling how much having his commitment turned down (even if temporarily) affected his opinion of LSU.

His camp and attempt to commit was really the first alot of us heard about him.

Ah ok that makes sense. It's a shame that schools wouldn't actively work to promote their players. Smart move to move to the school that can get his name out.

He said last night that Arkansas was his leader but I think we all know how quickly that can change with the big purple tiger in the room.

If y'all can hang on to Toliver and then add Ramirez. Those will be steals for y'all. Both are very good.

We did offer, it just wasn't widely reported because of all the camp commits that day.

Isn't Dutchtown one of those schools that do very little to promote their players? The two commits we got from there I don't think had even been rated by the services when we got them.

You realize that's the school Eddie Lacy, Eric Reid and Landon Collins went to, don't you? They don't have a problem getting their kids seen.

I think everything will play out next month regarding his offer just like Project stated. But if Arky gets both Toliver and Ramirez, I won't be happy.

Happens way too much. A lot of head coaches don't do much to get their players noticed. They just do the bare minimum

Guess that's not the one then. There was mention of a south Louisiana school a while back that the coach wouldn't send out video or much of anything to promote players.

If we get Hootie, Tony Brown and keep the guys we already have committed... I'll be content.
