is 6ft 200 pounds really THAT rare these days? Seems like every rb is that big or close.

Bama fans hyping up their depth when only one back has proven anything in college while simultaneously downplaying Fournette because of his performance in high school.
Classic gump.

I feel the same way about our backs coming in.

I think you keep not reading the...
As a FRESHMAN IN H/S part
And also the...
Average 10 yards a carry and 20+ TD part

I know you're trolling but I'll dignify it with a response. 6' 200 lbs in and of itself is not exceptionally rare although it is great size for any high school running back. But 6'1" 220, running a 6.57 in the 55meter dash is exceptionally rare. Then combine that with vision, willingness to block, and soft hands, with the production to back it up since he was a freshman (and at the highest level of Louisiana HS football). LF isn't just rare, he's been a phenom ever since his freshman year. It's not fair to place the label on him but he is the Adrian Peterson of La HS football.
And it's rare enough to be rated the #2 or 3 player in the entire country in his class. To just write it off as "solid potential" is showing your arse. Every single recruit has "solid potential" or else they wouldn't be recruited. Some have the potential to be much more special than others.

Every elite rb puts up crazy stats. It' seems pretty easy to do when you're bigger, faster, and stronger than everyone else.

Then you can easily show me plenty of 6 foot 200+ lb freshmen in high school RBs who threw up 1000+ yards in big classification football averaging 10+ yards a clip and 20+ TDs.
I'll sit and wait at the risk of becoming the old guy at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on this one.

I don't want to.
Marcus lattimore? Malcolm brown? Trent Richardson?
I could probably go back through past rankings and find tons of guys with great measurables that didn't pan out or where average. I don't really care I'm just bored and came on here to argue.

Fournette is going to be a stud wherever he ends up. He's no Adrian Peterson but nobody is.

lol. Dude downplays it as no big deal and then lists 2 of the best SEC runningbacks of the decade as backs who may have accomplished something similiar, completely undermining whatever retarded argument he is trying to make.
You suck at arguing, ACL.

So he may be lattimore or he may be Malcolm brown. Maybe he will be Jim brown, maybe he will be Charlie brown. Who is he???

star rankings are meaningless once they enroll. only highly ranked players at certain positions can dominate on mediocre teams and the RB position in the SEC isn't one of them. If Trent had played at Kentucky, do you folks actually believe he would have been a 3rd overall pick? LF's success in college will have as much to do with where he signs as his talent level if not more.....

right now he is the #2 recruit in the country, that is all we know until he gets to LSU

Sounds like a tough choice.
He can go to Alabama, win 3 ncs go #1 in the draft and win MVP, be inducted into the nfl hall of fame, and then ascend into the pearly gates
Or
He can play for lessss. Get it?
Actually we don't really want him. Not a commutable offer

3 starting RBs drafted in the 1st rd the last 4 yrs at Bama
I'm going to be interested to see how Cam Cameron's impact at OC will affect the LSU run game this yr...how many OL are returning?

You're right Bucc, it's not a bad comparison because TJ Yeldon is probably Fournette's floor
