All bama needs to do is hire some of the coaching staff and they're in.

I'm sure whoever the next coach is will realize that and hang on to a few coaches.

I believe only 8/20 commits are from LA, which includes Delphit and JaCoby Stevens (they aren't currently in LA).

You think we are going to hire a coach who can't recruit?

You had the most winningest coach in LSU history and he still couldn't keep all of the top athletes in Louisiana. Not only that, regardless if you hire the next coming of Nick Saban the fact is that you currently do not have a head coach. Who's going to want to commit to a team that doesn't have a head coach?

Yall may pickup a guy or two this cycle but LSU will be rolling again for the 2018 class.

Louisiana will be split like the roman empire. Not only will Alabama continue to take recruits, now Houston will come in, Florida State, Ole Miss, Miss. State, and ALL of the Texas schools. If you want to know what the definition of a power vacuum is just wait around for a while.

Ok, you can stop trolling the RB now. It's very unbecoming.

What part of that is trolling?

If a player isn't currently committed then they aren't going to be committing now that they don't know who they would be playing for, the scheme, even if they will have a new offer with the new coach

Usually when a new coach comes in they clean house and bring in almost all new assistants. Your assistants know this and I'm sure will go through the motions recruiting. You are kidding yourself if you think your assistants will recruit as hard as normal when they know there is a pretty good chance they won't get a chance to close the deal with the kids after getting let go when the new coach is hired

The new coaches will likely have one month to build relationships and get kids to sign

Other staffs know this and recruiting in Louisiana will be ramped up by every staff that has a presence in the state

Luckily for LSU, they don't have to share recruits with another in state school. And Lousiana talent seems to be a bit down this year.

You'll still have a good class because some kids are going to LA regardless, but you're going to lose more than your normal share of LA and SE Texas kids this year

Do you really think not having a real head coach for months won't effect recruiting?

I wish Louisiana had a better crop this year for us to try to poach honestly. That is the best part about this timing for LSU.

At least the Miles' firing got this board moving again. I think we went a week without 10 total posts.

So do Leonard Fournette, Kristian Fulton, Devin White, Radhard Lawrence, Michael Divinity, Malachi Dupre, Tre White and so on. We can play this game, but I'm gonna win.

Those were good players, congrats.

Leonard Fournette/Jeremy hill, Eric Reid, Mingo, beckwith, lael Collins say hi. Not to mention OBJ, Jarvis Landry, and so on...

You got 5 good ones over a 4 or 5 year stretch, that is good. But LSU still gets the vast majority of Louisiana talent over nick Saban
