247 Admins are saying he wanted to continue to take visits as an open recruit. i expect him in Athens this weekend and become a 5* UGA commit by monday.

is that due to development or talent level?
its blatant bias and favoritism if he gets a bump after committing to UGA like chauncey bowens did. god forbid florida gets any kind of credit for recognizing/evaluating the same talent level georgia saw in the kid(s).

What if a UGA commit legitimately improves or was underrated? Should their ranking be held down to avoid the perception of bias?

Our guys seem pretty fricking talented. They get good development too, but the raw material is as good as it gets.

if they get the bump in november/december, or maybe even january/february just before signing, that might come off as being more legitimate. but getting a bump like chauncey did in the middle of the summer when nothing is going on is a bit sus.
now, i'm being a bit facetious when it comes to machai. he may not go from being a 3* to a 5*, but he's not far off from pulling off a 4* and if he randomly gets a bump after this weekend, if he even commits by then, i really don't know how much more obvious it could be.

UF fanbase needs to focus on Sunshine Billy and the pathetic product on the field and less about UGA recruits getting a bump in the rankings.
The entire purpose of the rankings is to predict what type of player a kid can be and UGA is developing players at all ends of the spectrum - especially on the defensive side.
By the way, these Gator tears are salty!
