Why? Seems like UGA would be screwing Evans, and I thought you said above something about UGA not in the business of screwing 18 year olds.
Not screwing over 18 year olds does not mean you let them jerk you around and take opportunities from others. That’s effectively what he would be doing if UGA loses the initial counter. That would be their only leverage to protect themselves. They would just hope he changes his mind over the next few months.
Evans should have known the consequences of signing. No one forced him to do that. Facing consequences for your actions is not being screwed over.

says he thinks he will end up with us and will be on campus next week
How is this possible?

Other schools are prohibited from contacting Evans while he’s bound by an NLI, per NCAA regulations.
And I have seen nowhere anything about Evans has been "unbound" and able to come to the agreement about being at school next week.

Evans’ camp is absolutely in contact with A&M.

He can't change his mind, he doesn't have the ACT scores. He will take a retest in Feb.

I mean changes his mind about where he wants to go to school and actually decides to go to Georgia.
That wouldn’t be shocking given his history

Yeah, this dude has been all over the place. Hard to say if he is the one flaking out or if he has people close to him pulling him multiple directions. Either way he seems like that type who will either explode onto the scene and be incredible from the start or will flame out super fast and end up trying out for the XFL after a couple years at an FCS school.

Not illegal, not even against NCAA rules.
Evans and our staff cant contact eachother. If Evans's family wants to contact our staff then they're free to do so.

I am reading LOI and NLI websites now. The following may be possible but have not seen it...
If the issue might be grades, then the NOI might not be binding. If a certain amount of time passes, a NOI is automatically void.
Maybe Evans NOI is already void and thats why UGA has not made a statement about Evans has officially parted ways. Almost like Evans is already a free agent?
And if the NOI isn't binding since he 14 days are up, Evans can talk to anyone.
The more I read, the more I don't understand whats going on. This are proceeding in direct conflict to what I'm reading.

What I was referring to is If a player submits a NOI, then recruiting is over. No other team can contact him. Maybe he can get uncle joe to call jimbos assistant... but that would be dangerous as frick.
If there is not a binding NOI, then it doesn't matter.
See provision #8 in link... they make it pretty clear

How anyone in their right mind can spin UGA to be the bad person after Evans signed his LOI to them is beyond me. Kid is lucky to be at a point where he can look elsewhere.
Not to mention we could have theoretically recruited other backs

As I said a few weeks back ,kid will end up at A&M. Fisher loves him some thuggery. Winston #2. He be like where the free crab legs.

Please don't come to LSU. It's sad that I'm having to say that, but I just believe this guy's is going to be an absolute cancer wherever he ends up. We have good rbs already, we don't need him and his bs. Let him go somewhere where that dumb selfish shite he pulls won't derail a potential title. Please don't come to LSU. frick this guy.
