Not going to happen, so don't torture yourself. A. Smith will move to RB permanently in the Spring

His first attempt at his ACT. Assuming his first attempt was during the playoff game. But that seems more like a desperate second or third attempt to become an early enrollee. Scheduling your first ACT attempt during a playoff game doesn't seem to be a likely scenario. Not talking about his grades.

I'm not arguing with you...I am just trying to separate fact from speculation.
The last I heard was that his ACT scores were fine. A lot of the grades/ACT talk was speculation that turned into "fact" on this board.

Again, you might know more than I do...there has been a ton of speculating by everybody, and then passed around as fact.

I was just trying to make sure.

I don't know the kid or his family. 100% speculation. I'm just trying to use common sense and logic. Why would his first ACT attempt be during one of his playoff games? Either that wasn't his first attempt (likely since he wanted to be an early enrollee) or he got some bad advice about taking it late. North Shore coaches aren't new to this and probably would have set him up (or a school adviser or someone) to help him become an early enrollee. It looks like he's taken the ACT twice. I don't think character issues are enough to push so many schools away from him. Something else is going on there.

Not if it looks like he's going to A&M.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if maybe you had read it from an insider, or maybe saw an interview, or something.

Why does Edwards do or say anything? He is, at best an unusual person.

I will say that our insiders supposedly said his ACTs were good and that, nor his grades had anything to do with why Georgia told him, "No thanks." (Or did he tell Georgia, "No thanks."?)

There's a lot going on with Evans...and I'm not entirely convinced that anybody knows what it is.

Thanks for not getting defensive. Like I said...I wasn't trying to doubt your word or argue with you.

Not in Evans' case, he is not taking direction from anyone but "friends" & family.

When he realizes no other suitors are going to appear he'll end up @ A&M or a JUCO (due to losing his A&M option not grades) & play the recruiting game again next year.

I'm pulling for Jimbo to land a replacement & move on and that scenario seems more likely with each passing day. Jimbo needs to line up as many RB visits as possible while making it well known. A&M lost their depth chart @ RB & every other feature back option in this class with Evans' BS & he's still trying to leverage.

frick this kid, the market place needs to see he overplayed his hand and lost.

Im just throwing out speculation. Mostly because some stuff just doesn't add up. Probably a situation we'll never know the truth. To me, if he really wanted to be an early enrollee and his grades and test scores were solid then he'd be an early enrollee.

A&M has a 4 star back out of Arizona visiting this weekend. Ainias Smith will likely be permanently moved to running back as well.

Hope ya land him & move on from Evans. Jimbo is no rookie to the game, I'd expect that if he only signs one more RB it won't be Evans. Or at least not by choice.

Fisher should just lock down Hubbard and push Evans to Florida.

Zach Evans is looking for a payday under the table - time to cut the line on this kid, as he simply doesn't even enjoy playing football. Kid doesn't even watch the NFL, and has no NFL aspirations

It's probably smarter to save your money for Jackson.

You'll learn soon enough. In the last 2-3 months he has been a lock to Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M and will soon be for Florida and Ole Miss.

I'm not sure about Texas, but seems like they were kind of confident, too? Did I miss anybody?

Sounds like this kid is going to sign with whoever pays him the most money. Hopefully tNetwork can get to work

Also we finished 4-8 last year so I have no problem taking a risk on a kid like this. Maybe the Alabama’s and Georgia’s don’t have to but we aren’t there yet

Ealy is an elite back and he’s proven it. I’d be worried about rolling the dice with Evans and messing that up.
