Also, we are a bit insecure as a fanbase after several recruiting blunders and a decade and a half of Fran/Sherman

Dude, the posters on your 247 board aren't exactly paragons of enlightened civility:

quote:

The Kyler Murray thread is like redneck comedy central.

quote:

Couple of posters over there are batshit crazy

(this from a guy who tried to argue that Manziel would have sat behind Mariotta because Chip Kelly plays guys who keep their noses clean. Chip Kelly! And when I asked him about Lamichael James getting arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, he basically said the girl had it out for James and manipulated the situation.)

quote:

And of course those ungrateful brats will get Murray anyway

Comments about A&M winning nothing, not having a defensive standout since Dat Nguyen, and of course too many "redneck" comments to post.

Point being, this is a bit of a pot/kettle situation, don't you think?

I guess Ty Warren, Sammy Davis, Von Miller, and Damontre Moore never happened if we didn't have a defensive standout since Dat.

Who were Oregon's besides Ngata and Matthews in that same timeframe?

Oregon fans, from my experiences, are like new money.

We aren't redneck. We're country. There is actually a difference.

Yup. Dat was the last defensive standout he could remember. Which, I'm glad people still remember how great Dat was, but seriously...

So is the consensus here that he will pick ATM?

I want him to pick Oregon so Alabama can land Waller. Sorry Aggies.

that's just the feeling im getting right now. a week ago id be saying that it would be a surprise if he didn't end up at a&m but, concerns over early playing time seem to be making him question a&m a bit. well see. but, to me, something just feels off
