Supposedly Saban told him he can play baseball at Bama, like Lonergan. And Terrion Arnold with basketball. I’ll believe any of them play two sports at Bama when I actually see it

If he committed based on this alone then why didn't Kirby offer the same thing?

Georgia legacy Justice Haynes made his decision, he chose Alabama (On3)

quote:

“The culture around Alabama made a difference to me,” Haynes told On3. “The way they work, how they compete, and the people there made a big impact on me and my decision. It is a place I fit in, a place I will get developed on and off the field, and the place I know will hold me accountable at the end of the day. The total package of what Alabama is about made it the best place for me.”

Sometimes kids just want to start their own legacy. Seems particularly the case these days. I highly doubt NIL is what won this recruitment. Georgia money is nothing to scoff at. This is probably more the overall feel/fit the kid felt, and he just ended up liking Alabama more.

Wow. I think that was a shocker for all of us Georgia fans. We (I) was thinking he was ours for sure.

He will be a great addition. He could end up being the best RB in the class. Great pickup and I am officially jelly.

He's never done that. You play football only and that's it.

Based on what? His recruitment has been pretty close to the vest

UGA legacy. His Dad was the back that caught the pass for a TD at ut that Larry Munson described as "hitting them in the face with a hob-nailed boot".

Sorry to report AJ Harris is having second thoughts as well and Florida is pushing hard for a flip.

1. It’s not the only reason he committed
2. Kirby is very up front that playing both in the SEC is damn near impossible from a logistics standpoint and it’s in the players best interest to commit to one or the other. Can’t imagine Saban somehow sees it any differently

Then he just needs to come out and say it. No sense in dragging it out if everyone else knows he’s already made a decision.
