We've been hearing Bama felt confident in Haynes for a couple weeks. But yeah, the commitment this early came out of nowhere. Nice job by Coach Gillespie on this one! Hopefully it can help with Richard Young and Caleb Downs as well.

This one hurts. We aren’t hurting for RBs by any means but legacy kid who we put all our eggs into the basket for has a lot of folks around the program floored. Impression is that both Manning and Haynes told our staff they were coming and now both of them have pantsed us. While our overall class is still really good, this is as shocking a recruiting stretch under Kirby as we have had
