6'4 170 lb. SG from the Bronx made it official this morning. Giving Tyndal his second known commit for the 2014 class.

Punter averaged 20.3 points per game this season for State Fair, shooting 57.1 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from 3-point range and 82.7 percent from the free-throw line. He also averaged 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Big to steal him from Missouri. He will be a big help the next couple years.

Seems like a solid pick up. I don't think he's a game changer by any means, but he should be a competent SEC player.

I'll be interested to see if he beats out Bob Hubbs as the starting two.

Don't think it's a huge hit to Mizzous class, but a nice pickup for us given the circumstances of the last few weeks.

Looks to be a high volume shooter, who draws fouls and does really well at the charity line. Which is exactly what Tyndall wants from his PGs/SGs. I like the pickup given how late in the game it is.

He was an emergency signing when our two lead guards Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown turned pro. In that regard, while a solid player he shouldn't be a huge hit, but he may well be one whether we like it or not b/c we have a gaping, gaping hole at shooting guard now. As in like, there's nobody at the position, at all.

Tyndall apparently sold Punter on setting lots of ballscreens for him out high and letting him do what he wants off those. That was almost exclusively the Haith offense the past few years so I can see why he liked hearing Tyndall say it, but Mizzou fans are pretty fed up with seeing that same play over and over so I imagine our new coach will go a different direction.

Yikes.

How are you guys feeling about the 2014 class staying intact with Anderson taking over?

At least two guys that I know of re-confirmed their commitment.

ETA: Scratch that, looks like just the kid from Georgia did that.

As for the rest of Mizzou’s recruiting class, Jakeenan Gant, a 6-8 forward who signed in the fall, decided last week to stick with his letter of intent shortly after Anderson retained Fuller on his staff. Namon Wright, a 6-4 guard from Los Angeles, has requested his release from his letter of intent and plans to explore other options, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

We had 2 signees. Our biggest recruit, Gant from Georgia is sticking with us. While he may be the more talented of the 2, he's also in a position that we have lots of. The other is a SG who, while not as highly rated, is a position of need right now. He has asked for his release. Mizzou has refused to give it, until he talks with Anderson tomorrow night. Punter was a late commit, never signed paperwork. When he committed, it didn't move the needle for me. Seemed like a solid addition at position of need but not someone who I jumped up and down about when he committed.

He was recruited for his smothering defense plus he can score also. We need a shooting guard that can pop those jumpers and a penetrating point guard. I still thing we need a big man that can score a play defense.

Bloody hell what an offer list. Duquesne, Missouri St.,UTSA, UTEP, Loyala.

But I reckon there are not many good prospects out there left and ya'll need some bodys, rumors from a Vandy board have only 3 or 4 players from last year returning back.

Glad you "stole" him. Seen him play at State Fair C.C. here in Sedalia, MO; was meh when I saw he committed to Mizzou and tickled when he decomitted.

Not worried either way. We're about to sign a top 100 composite/top-50 247 SG.

Punter would more than likely be behind Richardson, Hubbs, and Moore on the current roster. He slides even further back if Dedrick signs
