247 doesn't think so. I like Watson a lot and am not qualified to nitpick between them, but it's not universal.

Park is that high on 247? Guess I haven't been keeping up with him that much, he setting the world on fire this season? It's def splitting hairs between the two, but Malone and Watson's relationship gives Clemson the edge here over UGA.

How so? I mean y'all have had Nuk Hopkins and Watkins, but we had A.J. Green before that. Our receivers were crushing it this year before injuries took them out.

I mean in the sense of offensive system/identity. Clemson is a more wide-open spread passing system than UGA. UGA will always defer to a strong rushing attack whereas Morris prefers attacking through the air. It's just a difference in philosophy (I prefer a power rushing attack by the way so this isn't me being a homer).

Clemson is going to air it out every damn year as long as Swinney is there. You're almost guaranteed to get more targets as a top WR at Clemson than at UGA, that's all I was saying. Our system works against us for someone like Gurley or Marshall, but it should work for us for any WR in the country.

We are pretty balanced on O. We threw for pretty much the same yardage the past few years as Clemson.

Yeah they think really highly of Park.

Clemson certainly has a very receiver friendly system, but a receiver can absolutely stand out at UGA if he's good enough. That was really my only point.

Safe bet here is UT so all this could very well be moot

My sister went to Clemson. I enjoyed the campus.

Hope Malone plays in Tennessee. I'm not as confident as most.

Reading up on this situation, and I think the cards will turn significantly in Tennessee's favor this week.

This whole financial paper signings allowing for unlimited contact basically gives the instate school a monster edge. Think back to some of the old recruiting stories with Hershel Walker and Marcus Dupree where schools left an assistant in a hotel outside the kid's house for a month.

There was an article on the Clemson site where it says Tennessee will have in-homes Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday with Malone. That's going to be damn tough to beat unless they just get fvcking sick of them haha.

I understand UT wants to get in to see the kid, but it it really necessary to see him 4 times in a 5 day period, when no one else is visiting during that time? That seems a little over the top. And an in-home on Thanksgiving? If Malone's family is welcoming him in then, then he has to be a UT lock. That being said, don't the UT coaches have an away game to prep for on Thursday and Friday instead of stalking this kid to death?

That's why I think he's still going to UT. No way do they have UT coaches there for four days out of five if he was going elsewhere.

It's only about a 2 hour drive from Knoxville. Plus, I think Thigpen is the only one going today and Friday. Butch will probably be there Sunday and for sure Monday.

That is exactly the sort of thing that will cause this rule to removed. That many visits borders on harassment. To be clear, I very much think that is simply a VN-type rumor, not something any sane coaching staff would ever do.

I guess with that caveat, it is still well within the realm of chance that UT coaches will try it...

Also, you guys just got beat down by Vandy, I'm pretty sure your coaches gave up on preparing for games a couple of weeks ago.

I definitely think he will. Worst choice he could make of his finalists, far and away the worst QB situation and not looking great on the OL sans Tiny, Juwan, and Stone. It is his mistake to make though, best of luck to him if he doesn't pick UGA...except against UGA.

It was posted on Rivals last night. It's not like UT will just be randomly showing up at their doorstep. The Malone's scheduled all of these visits.

UGA doesn't know if Park or Ramsey will pan out just like we don't know if Ferguson or Dobbs will either. UT and UGA will both have senior quarterbacks next season with highly rated question marks behind them. Tennessee also has more WR than Georgia in the NFL, btw.

Tenn hasn't had a stud at QB in years. One program is known for producing quality QB's...one is not. I know who I'd take my chance with. The non-dumpster fire. But the kid is most likely Knoxville bound.

What the heck could they talk about that much. With my biased glasses on it looks like a bad thing since they have a ton of questions and still need to be sold on the program. Or with unbiased glasses it's a chance for UT to answer any questions that UGA or Clemson bring up about their program.

I have no idea tbh. Maybe Butch is a big fan of Mama Malone's cooking or they just like having Butch's company

Truth funny to you? The last actual good QB you had is about to retire from the NFL. Granted, he is probably the best to ever play, but you don't see us acting like every CB should come to UGA because one of the best ever was here 15 years ago.

The track record is clear and heavily in favor of one team should he truly be all that concerned with a team/coach's history with QBs. One coached a heisman winner after all, the other has never even had a player anywhere near the discussion.

Sure your Rivals guy didn't get his info twisted? As in, they have visits scheduled on all those days, but from all three schools, not just UT. That just seems unreasonable to me and it is going to set off a flag with the committee that created this rule, too. I really hope they aren't doing that because it is likely to end up getting this rule taken back.
