I've heard 3 things regarding him.
1. His girlfriend is going to State. LSU got Naiz Reid (basketball player) due to a similar situation.
2. His Dad is pushing against LSU.
3. He wants to be the featured back in the class and not part of a duo.

I was a Freshman at Destrehan when his dad was a Senior. He is an a-hole and an idiot. I remember when Johnny Majors came to visit and he committed to Tennessee. Dude has no love for LSU. I would count his son out as far as going to LSU.

Emery is coming to State.
I know the family. He’s going to commit to state in July but I’ll ban bet you that it’s not the last school he commits to. I’m not saying he’s going to LSU but I would be very surprised if he ends up State.

This is true.

He also said that he doesn't want to wear his body out for 3 years before going to the NFL.
So he wants to be the feature back but doesn't want to get too many carries?
I'm 99% sure this is the reason we backed off. He's got plenty of talent, but his attitude sucks.

No doubt that the Noah Cain decision has a lot to do with this, but all three would have been nice. What’s your take on Barton Simmons new grade for Davis coming up ,sure will be top 5.He may end up being no.2 by end of year nationally and 1st in La. Emery definetly a great back, with that extra gear. Hell I think any other year both State and LSU would take Hollins.

This isn't even remotely the same. They were from the state of Mississippi. Emery is in LA.
LSU won't get the verbal in July, but it will be far from over.
