... Where did he say that? Acknowledging that we haven't heavily recruited an athlete says nothing about whether we would want them or not. I don't think we're hurting for OG this year but yeah, pretty sure everyone would take that CB if he was open to another destination.

LSU and UGA don't really ever get in heated recruiting battles.
It is rare, no doubt, but it would appear as if Kirby is going to start pushing harder in Louisiana. not saying he will pull everybody he wants, but right now it appears as if we are going after 2-3 of the same RB's. It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Well, the toughest teams in the West is Alabama, Auburn and LSU and we play two of those during regular season. Exactly who is in the west that makes you think it is so much tougher other than Alabama that you will play?

I am telling you that we did not recruit them hard. Are you telling me that LSU is recruiting every single top player hard?
If so, then we are beating the heck out of LSU head to head, because we have 4 5* players already and should pick up 2-3 more.

I think it's better to say you were never in it for those guys.
I will ask you again. Is LSU recruiting all the top players in the country? If so, then Orgeron is not about to go 3-0 verses Kirby. You can't have it both ways.
ETA
For instance. Did LSU want Nolan Smith and Jadon Haselwood? I saw he had offers from LSU.
It all started when a LSU fan said Orgeron was about to go 3-0 recruiting against Kirby. You tell me. Who was georgia recruiting hard that Orgeron got?

With a very good possibility of us playing all 3 this year

Exactly.

I mean...that's a pretty huge one. I'd trade them for South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt or Missouri any day of the week, for that matter:

You're forgetting about Mississippi State who might be better than anyone in the East not named UGA. Most (if not all?) places have them above us in the division this year. Fact is there's just more tough games on this side of the division, you cant actually dispute that...The West has pummeled the East recently

I am saying you are spinning it to make it sound like you didnt want them. Of course you would want them, they are the top rated guys at their positions.

Oh it's true, that's why "we never really recruited them that hard"

Back on track now...emery visiting UGA this weekend with family...big reveal weekend...Dell McGee..
I'd say we are a contender now.

Yeah, about that:
2017
Tennessee = 0-2 vs. West
Vanderbilt = 0-2 vs. West
Florida = 0-2 vs. West
Kentucky = 0-2 vs. West
Missouri = 1-1 vs. West
South Carolina = 1-1 vs. West
Georgia = 2-1 vs. West
East was 4-11 against the West last season; so yeah, not sure why any UGA fans would be arguing the East is a joke compared to the West, the proof is in the numbers

I hate everyother team in the East. They can lose every game for all I care.
UGA will go 3-0 against the West this year. That's all that matters.

And what if UGA's season goes south? Let's not forget UGA stared down the barrel of an 8-5, 4-4 season just 2 years ago now. We're coming off a 9-4, 6-2 season ourselves. It's nice to have a great year, but doesn't guarantee you anything, although would be really hard to tank playing in the East.
Lost a ton of players and not just players but key leaders on the team. All I know is someone has been in the ear of Team Emery and all things as of this day are pointing to LSU. At one time I truly believe we were in 3rd place looking in behind State and Georgia.

The East and West were both terrible last year.
The East was worse, and has been for a while. That’s not exactly debatable. But last year was a pretty poor year for the West.
FWIW, I am absolutely fine with the East being terrible and have no desire for it to be better than the West. If you win the SEC Championship you’re almost guaranteed a playoff spot. Being in the East gives us the best possible shot.

You seem to be severely downplaying how much tougher the west is than the East. Despite the West not being as good nationally as it's used to being last season, it was still WAY WAY better than the East and it's not even remotely close. Again, East was 4-11 against the West, and 1 of those 4 wins was a rematch against an injury riddled team that the East previously lost...

Didn't mean to be downplaying it at all. It's definitely far easier. I also think that UGA was head and shoulders above every West team we didn't play, which is why a lot of our fans are dismissive about the East vs. West argument IMO.

Love the excuses...it’s football ..injury and depth are part of the game...

No'I'm not. Show me where I said we would not take them. I said we did not recruit them hard....and we didn't. It doesn't matter why. It could have been because we knew we couldn't get them, or it could be for a dozen different reasons.
You act like Orgeron beat us out of something. Now answer my question. Did Georgia beat Orgeron out of Nolan Smith and Jadon Hazelwood?

I would have absolutely no problem with saying this. I would definitely say LSU is probably in the lead right now. And it is very difficult to pull a kid out of Louisiana when LSU wants them.
