Wiltfong just said that Emery will be in Athens this weekend.

Yeah, aren't y'all unveiling some new facility that is going to make every 5* in attendance beg for the privilege to commit on the spot?

Yes. That's the hope. We are unveiling a new multi million dollar recruiting area and concourse.

Many other SEC schools are unveiling gas grills and paper plates.

Check back on signing day and we can evaluate which strategy works. Haha.

I think I was fine to have it last night.

Yep. I agree. That was my point, despite others taking it as a troll job. Last night, you posted that and I looked into Paul Jones and thought that you made a good case.

Gotta love recruiting, where something can age that badly that quickly. Good luck with Gray.

I would not think so. I think we're good with 2 this year and then trying to get 2 again next year. Zachary Evans and Ashaad Clayton likely being our top targets. Even if the staff did decide that they liked Cain better than Clayton or Evans, I really can't see all three 2019 guys going to the same school.

Gotcha. I really like Davis and Emery, so if that is who you are able to get, you would have a great class.

I was hoping we could pull Emery, though. I like him a lot.

If that was the intent, apologies for me reading into it incorrectly.

Yeah there's no way anyone would convince Emery, Davis and Cain to all be in the same class. We would love it to get all 3, but it isn't happening.

Yep, would love a miracle and to pull Emery back but understand staying in state.

All I really want for this class is Nekobe Dean to stay home. Feel like a 9-10 win season (possible this year) makes that happen.

I know he and some other recruits are waiting to see what happens on the field this year before pulling the trigger.

Why this season is so important.

I wouldn't think, but you never know. More and more SEC schools are going to a runningback by committee, so kids are going to have to adjust their expectations. It's not like High School where one kid can carry the ball because he is the best player on the field.

Everybody is great in college, so it is to their benefit to not carry the ball 30 times a game. Look what happened to Auburn last year. In the not so distant future I think you will see more and more schools go to 3 backs with a 50/35/15% type of split in carries.

You're really setting yourself up for heartbreak this cycle, eh?

Yep, but he claims he wants to go to a good engineering program so maybe just maybe the kid makes an academic decision, but my man Paul also put him at 10% to go to MSU.

His CBs are all over the freaking place, but imma hope while I can.

The problem is this is 3 elite backs in the same class, a lot easier to convince over the course of years with class separation. We only lose 2 RBs after this season, which means if we add 3 RBs in this class we would have SEVEN runningbacks for 2019 season. That's just a ton, and not all 3 of those guys would be getting carries in front of Chris Curry or Clyde Edwards-Helarie in 2019, either. Curry would only be a sophomore, Helarie a junior.

I think most UGA folks feel we will land one elite back this cycle. Who that is will depend on how things play out. I think our worst case scenario is Noah Cain.

I don't say that flippantly. RB and OL recruiting are rich man's problems with us right now.

Lovely time to visit. Plan ahead since UGA-Bama tickets will be expensive.
