And since he committed first “ they said no at the time.”

It’s good, but 4.64 and 11.54 100s aren’t elite for a dual threat.

Not trying to hate but I think he’s very much overrated. Not elite size or speed. Doesn’t fill up the stat sheet. I’d probably put him 3rd or 4th best QB in Texas

Then why is he a 4* recruit?

With all respect, Alabama has had 4-star QB recruits sign in the past and amount to nothing. Guys like Star Jackson, Phillip Sims, and Blake Barnett were highly recruited coming out of high school but ended up doing jack squat at the collegiate level.

Makes sense with Texas already anointing Ewers the starter the day he gets on campus

Just glad to get another pretty high upside kid in our QB room for 2021+. Wasn't sure that would happen this year with Bryce the year ahead.

Manziel ran an official 4.68 after a few years in college.

Milroe is plenty fast enough to hurt people with his legs in college. I’m not calling him Lamar Jackson, but he’s really fast for a QB.

Blake Sims took us to the playoffs. If that’s Milroe’s ceiling then I’m glad he’s in this class

Because he's still pretty dang good. I just don't think he's top 100 good when you compare him to some of the other QBs in Texas. Or you could do it the other way and make Davis, Stowers, & Nussmeier top 75 nationally.

Ewers and the two freshman on campus are way better than milroe. Honesty as someone who lives in Texas i don't get the milroe hype

This is incorrect and looks nothing more than salty.

Milroe is a bad dude and it's a loss any way you look at, no matter who Texas has on campus or pledged. I'm rooting for the kid because he looks like a born leader, and clearly earns the respect of his peers.

Also, for sure one of the freshmen* on campus is not as good as Milroe, and we'll see with Ewers. Trusted pundits are saying he's amazing, and his stats and ability would prove such, but he's still got two years of high school left. Going to be a long 18 months before he signs.

It'd be incredibly naive to think that, if he stays as good as he does, other elite programs won't be constantly trying to knock his door down and convince him to flip as well. Especially if Herman delivers more of these losses to the TCUs, ISUs and Marylands of the college football landscape.

So you’d rather see a team that you never play get weaker than a team you play annually get stronger???

Makes perfect sense......

Not with Young in front of him unless he’s willing to sit for 2-3 years.

The entire Jalen/Tua saga should teach us all that you never know how it will shake out.
