Tennessee is getting kids from Tennessee to play for them? Shocking.
Actually - based off of the previous few years - it is very shocking we are locking down the state.

This argument about who is putting elite backs in the NFL recently is absurd.
UT can make no claim on Foster. Have all the pride about him being a former Vol all you want, but he was in no shape or form seen as an elite back coming out of college, he became elite in the pros.
On the other hand, Bama has been pumping them out here lately. Back to back 1st rounders, and a could be 1st rounder this year. What they do once they get in the pros has no bearing on the program.
UT's pitch right now looks like, "Come here and you can underachieve, then make it big in the pros."
Bama's pitch right now looks like, "Come here and wind up in the first round."
That said, Hurd made the right decision. I for one am happy to see UT getting studs. The game, the SEC, and October are all better when UT is playing well. Good get.
Arian Foster is second all time in rushing yards..... He was destroyed like every other offensive player that year because of the Clawfense.
UT could easily say they get you ready for the pros much better than Bama since Ingram has been a bust and Coffee retired after 3 years.
So whats more important, having a long successful NFL career or short 3 year career bouncing around from job to job?

Let me give you a little history lesson on Arian Foster
You guys do realize that he was an UNDRAFTED FA right? So I'll ask you this question, in Cleveland with that atrocious OL would Arian be as successful? Simple answer is no
Gimme a break guys geez

Ingram is about as much of a bust as Foster is a Hall of Famer.
And again, what kids do with their opportunity in the pros does not reflect on the program. Those who pretend it does are just plain ignorant.
Tyson Jackson, Glen Dorsey, and Jamarcus Russell have not exactly torn the league up, but that has not hurt LSU one bit in recruiting. WHY? Because high school kids see 1st Round draft pick beside their name, not Pro Bowler, etc.

lol. you do realize he was projected as a first or second round pick after his JUNIOR year, right? He decided to return for his senior year, and his draft stock was ruined by the Clawfense.

LSU isn't gonna be able to make the argument that BAMA doesn't have a tough permanent east rivalry when this coach gets it going at Tennessee. Y'all doin work

He is recruiting at a much higher level than I anticipated he would so far. I am in wait and see, but I am pleasantly surprised so far.

You mean you didn't expect him to pull in instate talent and legacies?

He's doing more than that. We lead for Dominique Booth (4* WR from IL), Cortez McDowell (4* S from GA), Kaylon Ford (4* DT from SC), D'Andre Payne (4* CB from DC), Dewayne Hendrix (4* DE from IL), and he's right in it for some other top rated prospects as well (Demarre Kitt, Andrew Williams, DJ Smith, David Cornwell, Drew Barker, Deshaun Davis, Rashaan Evans, Shaun Hamilton, Kevin Mouhon, Myles Autry and others).

Kiffin and the all star staff couldn't land the state's top players. And of course Dooley couldn't.
