Once it was determined he was going to sign with Bama he became trash to everyone on this and your board

You mean a year prior to him making any announcement? You really are clueless here, the people in the know knew all along he was gone because of the barber in Amite. It was no surprise. Dont try and rewrite history here, I could find dozens of posts talking about shopsher being lazy and not worth it months and even a year prior to him committing anywhere. People only cared about shopsher because of the recruiting hype around him, but so far, weve all seen what thata translated to. Still lazy, 1 appearance against Western Carolina with no stats, and a hilarious practice video of him getting reamed by his position coach.

As you are looking, look at the dozens of posts of those who wanted him as well. I will say this. You don’t see threads started on Bama
boards of recruits who went elsewhere a year later trashing them.

As someone said on another thread ... coping mechanism

Evidently O didn’t think he was too bad bc y’all offered his brother as well

He may or may not work out. Kinda up to him

Why is this a pissing match? Sopsher blows. End of story. LSU lucked out getting Ika and Bama took an L taking Sopsher instead of him. Bama will survive as a program

Maybe Sopsher will improve but you can't honestly say he's anything but a bust based on his Freshman season. But he's got 3 years to change that, assuming he's not shown the door before that.

And Bama never offered Sopsher's brother. LSU and Oregon were willing to do that but Sopsher went back on what he said and went to Bama despite his brother not having an offer. Those are the facts, you can make whatever conclusions you want about Sopsher, recruiting in Amite, etc. but who knows...

All the potential you need to see was in that hilarious practice clip with his coach yelling at him at how useless Shopser is despite whatever talent he possesses.

You're basing your opinion on a clip from practice?

Jesus some of y'all need help man. I saw a kid that's lost 20-30 pounds, so he's doing something- even if it's merely eating right.

Let's write a kid off because he came in overweight though. Tyler Shelvin's fat arse certainly didn't get any better

Maybe we should write him off because he's redshirting. Look how Quinnen Williams turned out after a redshirt season. There's no precedent of defensive linemen ever getting any better at Alabama. Y'all are pathetic

He's not even on your depth chart, and he hasn't been all year (regardless of red-shirt status).

What's your point with respect with Shelvin? People had very legitimate concerns over his weight and inability to get on the field. Shelvin actually losing the weight and turning things around is the rare case, though, not the norm.

Anyway I still don't understand why you guys care so much. Choosing him as a hill to die on really just seems like you're trying to maintain a petty recruiting win over LSU, which seems unnecessary given Alabama's relative ability to pluck from the state throughout the past 5 or 10 years.

They are beginning to see the forest between the trees. Sopsher not panning out would reduce the sense of recruiting superiority that is slipping away.

Earlier this year I went and watched Rodneys juco play at PRCC and the only time Rodney touched the field was on the punt team. He did have on a Alabama towel and gloves tho

It’s really that loser barber and Pettito that LSU should be thanking anyway, haha.
