I wish the kid well. He wanted to come to LSU (this is known), but made a hard choice he felt could immediately help his family a little more.
We will be fine. This staff just arrived in BR, and still managed to put together a solid class (#6 including transfers- with more likely coming in the spring). I’ll take that, all day long.

I love how every recruit in Louisiana is assumed that they really wanted to go to LSU. You can go back 6 months ago and see how much Matthews perked up when he talked about A&M in interviews and especially his relationships with the coaching staff. It's also pretty ridiculous that you think he came to A&M for a few thousand bucks when it's pretty obvious he could have gotten similar if not greater benefits as a local staying home.
It's getting pathetic how you guys twist yourselves in a pretzel assuming that A&M is only able to get kids by paying them while acting like LSU either doesn't or can't but at the same time talking about how LSU has as much money as A&M and bragging on getting Perkins.
It's about more than money folks. BTW that's a good thing for LSU because if all that mattered was money A&M is going to dominate LSU going forward.

Ive seen so many "what ifs" posted about A&M and this class. All of them are the same though "what if they only win 8 games"
What if they beat the sheet outta you and everyone else on the schedule?
