This class for LSU, he is the main recruiter for LSU commit DT Tyler Shelvin, the #1 player in La and the nation's #2 overall DT. He is currently trending again with the nation's #1 overall DT 5-star Marvin Wilson.

He's been one of if not the best recruiter in college football for more than 2 decades.

I understand, but LSU has more players on NFL rosters this season than any other team in the nation (or at least they did when the season started). Talent has NEVER been the issue at LSU.

1. It's not an easy sell over A&M. Aggies always recruit great at QB they just can't keep them or win with them (post JFF)
2. Going after QBs that don't fit the vision was a Les and CC thing to do. We see where that landed them right?

Not trying to flame and other saying Oeaux isn't a good recruiter but these just don't really mean much for him.
Miami was getting great players then no matter if O was on the staff or not. I would attribute their success to him.

O wasn't the secrete behind the success.
Hmm. Kiffin was the main reason, not O.
Seems like O has been the benefactor of being at the right place at the right time a few times in great era's for 2 programs and the attachments UT when they had a lot if buzz with Kiffin.
Again, not saying he isn't a good recruiter but I think the LSU fans are pushing this narrative to help ease the pain of hiring him as the HC. A moral victory in a way.
