There are 35 five stars a year. Roughly 220 four stars. There are nearly a thousand kids that are rated three star or below. Those numbers alone assure some kids are going to develop later and prove their ranking wrong.

OP is just like the rest of the dumbasses that follow recruiting and think star ratings mean anything. Unless you are not rated at all its useless info. Recruiting companies do not scout nearly as hard as coaches do. They base star ratings purely off scholly offers!!

Who do you think wins more games, a team with nothing but 5 & 4 star players or a team with 3 star players And below? Stars aren't the be all end all but they are a great indication of a players talent level.

Sure didn't seem to cost him the Thorpe trophy and he's still projected as a late 1st round draft pick so I don't think one game is costing him millions.

This is one dumb post.
Recruiting companies scout all the time. They are the ones that put together a lot of the camps you see elite players going to.
And to say that stars don't mean anything is retarded. Take a look at the last, i don't know, 10 national championship teams. They all have something in common.....elite players.
Bama is going for our 3rd national title in 4 years and will be preseason #1 in the country next year. You think our recruiting classes that were ranked #1 four out of the last five years have nothing to do with that???
