Alabama signed the #1 SDE, RB and OT in this class.

Except for the fact that Kenyon Green is the best OT despite the ranking.

UGA also landed Stevenson at #33 and Blaylock at #34, we will take it.

We will still take it, I would assume both players stay in the top 50.

Charles Cross is at 26 despite being 17th on Rivals and 8th on 24/7. Because he is freaking 84th on ESPN which is a joke, 50th I could live with but man.

It makes me not put a lot into composite rankings as long as it gives ESPN equal weight or any weight.

And full disclosure, ESPN has MSU rated higher than any other service.

Why are they still updating the composite rankings even after the early signing period?

Because of the all-star games.

Yes.
Nakobe Dean dropped in the rankings because he is short.

His height never changed. But evidently, hudl films make his height look different than in real life. The all star games allowed visualization of the players by the recruitniks

Greens drop makes zero sense. Be dominated the AA practices. Reports were he was the only one that would win some of the 1 on 1s with KT.

Per the final composite, A&M finished with 7 of the top 16 in Texas including #1 & #2. Jimbo landed the #1 OL, #1 DL, #1 TE (landslide), #1 CB (couple guys have a good argument for #1 though), #1 RB (soft class), #2 S (should be #1), & #5 WR (stacked class #11 in state). The only position we didn’t dominate in state was LB. If Jimbo does this consistently in state with a few strong OOS guys then A&M is going to be good to very good for a long time.

That list is missing several linebackers from various states.

Texas still has a higher star average. Texas hands down has a better lb class.

yes. This is usually what happens when we take a kicker and yall dont. Our top 23 commits have a better star rating than yalls 23

Texas also has some frauds that got boosted because Texas. Compare office list for the guys in the middle. It’s not even close. You wouldn’t find a single person that would trade A&M’s class withTexas’s this year.

Compare the middle? Hell, compare their top with our middle. They have some really suspect rankings. Then again, Tom Herman is a certified member of mensa, so maybe he really is just that much smarter than all the other p5 teams.

For example:

Tyler Owens Safety 98 - 5 star on 247 chose TEXAS over:
baylor
boston college
brown
houston
ucla
illinois
illinois state
kansas state
louisiana
missouri
nebraska
purdue
utsa
vanderbilt

Only one of these teams finished ranked this year. 5 star with one ranked offer. Amazing.

Brian Williams Safety 93 - 4 star chose Texas A&M over:
Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
Baylor
Colorado
Florida
Florida State
Georgia
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas State
LSU
Michigan
Mississippi State
Missouri
Nebraska
New Mexico
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Ole Miss
Oregon State
Penn State
Purdue
SMU
Stanford
TCU
Tennessee
texas
USC
UTSA

That is the ultimate example of the bias in the system.

Without looking at a single measurement or any tape I am 100% taking the guy with offers from Saban, Dabo, Gus, Mullen, Smart, Lincoln, etc over one with offers from Herman, Campbell, Morris, & Brohm

Weird that the coaches you listed (at least 3 of them) appear to be great at finding talent.

I think 247 saw Owens at the AA game, but 24 or wherever he finished still seems WAY too high.
