have you actually watched him play? hes a mess mechanically. theres a reason he has dropped almost 200 spots in the rankings over the past year. hes an ungodly athlete that anyone would be happy with getting and unleashing him at receiver, but he wants to be a QB so yea. maybe that changes in a year or so when he isnt getting any play time but who knows. he aint a qb though

A lot of schools didn’t recruit Lamar Jackson as a QB either. He only completed 47% of his passes in high school. Kentucky actually got better after moving Lynn Bowden to QB even though he wasn’t a very good passer either. I would imagine Briles probably thinks he can use him like D’eriq King, though King was a much better passer in high school.
It’s not like most of the QBs we started this year could pass either so at least he can run

Nick Marshall was recruiting out of HS as a corner because of this even though he was an incredible athlete. Sometimes it’s best to stick them at the position and work it out. He became a pretty damn successful QB for Auburn when it was all said and done and had UGA let him play QB instead of trying to convert him into something he wasn’t.

Marshall would have been a disaster at QB in UGA’s offense
