I just watched some of his senior tape. I think DE is a dramatic take. He seems to be playing as an off the ball outside linebacker. I don’t think he was a take for our staff as a potential LB.

This tracks. The defense Ole Miss currently runs involves LB/S hybrids playing near the LOS a lot, similar to what Iowa State does.
