When you have the ethics to cull, any big time team in the country will be able to run like that. Look for Kiffen to follow suit soon after he is able to hit the 85 scholly mark.

And what the frick is wrong with that? Isn't it his job to bring in the best of the best and win football games with them? That's what he gets paid to do, right?
If I'm a freaking horse breeder, then by God I want the best of the best in m stable on race day. Wouldn't you?
quote:
If you are a professional football team, that is how you do it. The majority of college football coaches honor their commitment to a player and his family. It is all about ethics, so I do not expect most of the bammers to understand.
You're absolutely right, I don't understand why any coach wouldn't strive to put the most talented players on his team year in and year out.
IIRC, Tubs chose not to do take this approach for whatever reason and AU kicked his arse to the curb to make room for top notch recruiters like Trooper/Luper/Grimes/Malzhan/Thigpen.
Unfortunately for Chizik, he hasn't had to make these delicate decisions with his players. They "cull" themselves from the team in one way or another. (And, it's usually a PR nightmare for AU.)

If Chizik found himself in the exact same situation as Saban and his current roster, would he choose to take the moral high ground, or would he make room for the 5* player?
I think he would the high ground, I do know he would not sacrifice any kid to make room for another. But what you are saying is that Saban is justified by cutting a player off to make room for a better player ? I wonder if he plays that game in his personal life ?

I have no idea what the man does with his personal life. And, I don't give a shite about it. But, I will say I'm pleased as can be with the way he runs this program. And I absolutely love the dominant team he puts on the football field.
Saban is a known quantity, everybody in the country knows how he recruits, how he coaches and how he runs a program. Saban's tactics are no secret to any parent, HS coach, or upcoming recruit. And, yet here he is sitting on what could possibly be another #1 class for 2012.

These players never think it could happen to them. Especially after the coaches stroke them for the last two year of HS.

Tubs had 5 million reasons to not do this.

We get it. Your heart bleeds for these kids.
If they had all just signed with AU to begin with they'd still have a scholarship and they'd be holding hands, reciting the creed, and showing that mean Nick Saban what family is all about.
But I have a feeling you really don't give a shite about any of these kids and would happily accept the practice if and when Chiz uses it to success. You just want something about Bama to bitch about because you're one of those kinds of Auburn fans.

Like I said, trying to talk ethics to a bammer is like trying to convince a racist that there is something morally wrong with the KKK.

I'm not talking about ethics.
I'm talking about sincerity. I don't think you sincerely give a shite about kids "processed" by Alabama. I think it's fake rage because your one of those Auburn fans who always has to have something about Bama to be mad about.

Answer this; If it was anybody else but Saban(or Alabama) doing it, would you approve. I would honestly say if it was AU doing it, I would be troubled by that practice. You can not talk family and integrity and leave a family member out in the cold because he does not meet your expectations. If they screw up, that is another matter

"Family" and "All in" is a marketing hook used by your favorite "business". Don't be mistaken...it is a fricking business.

Oh, so you kicked out your uncle when he got a DUI? Family is conditional?

Yeah, but to be fair, he was an embarrassment, and only an uncle by marriage.

Sick fricking burn, man. Just sick.
By the way, your "Family" is a business. Don't be a fool and think otherwise. Those former coaches still getting paid will tell ya...

Because...why? He's going PRO? He's processed now, too? Lulz. For Alahunter: Like I said, it's already been covered.

As everyone has stated many times, you shite is old. I don't care to continue this thread because it's been discussed far too many times to count. It'll probably be started again (be either an Auburn or Alabama fan) at a later time. You'll be in that thread spewing the same ignorant shite, too. So, have a god day, kid.
