“It’s getting wild and crazy,” Tim Yeldon, T.J.’s father, said.
Tim Yeldon said that he and his wife will accompany T.J. on his visit to Alabama.
“He’s still committed. We’re just going up there on an official visit,” Tim Yeldon said. “LIke I’ve always told him, it’s up to him and I’m going to support him.
Told you.

2013 WR Shelton Gibson from Cleveland, OH said, “More than likely, I’ll be coming to Auburn. I haven’t committed yet... I’m going to talk to Coach Chiz about it and see what he thinks--see what I can do. I’ll just talk to him about it... I liked it a lot. It wasn’t like Ohio. I went to an Ohio State game. It wasn’t anything like that. It was way better than Ohio State. It was real crazy down there. I liked it."
Sounds like it's a done deal with him. He's a track athlete and from watching his limited film, he has a chance to be what we all expected Trovon Reed to become. He was also Urban Meyer's first offer, so it will make it even sweeter to take a recruit from that a**hole.

I'm not sure there is a team that comes close to the hatred he has for Auburn, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Man, would I love for us to steal Gibson from him.

Kwon MF'n Alexander, AU LOCK...

Dude looks like a baller. Gonna be nice to have some solid LBs the next few years.

I'm hoping he's an AU lock. Bama isn't recruiting him near as hard anymore, and Magilla is usually spot on with who Bama is recruiting. Would be a huge get.

Yeah, Kwon is a beast. I can't understand how Rivals doesn't have him in their 250. I understand that he's a little undersized and that he had a knee injury this season, but when I watch his video versus Cassanova McKinzy (who IS in their 250), it's like night and day. His video and stats are incredible.

He fell out of favor in some critical camps, struggled mightily with coverage.Reason being he was never asked to drop by Oxford, he was mostly used to disrupt the backfield with his speed.
And if I recall correctly, Rivals bases their ranking on the prospects ability to play earlier. So if Kwon has to spend a year learning how to play coverage, that lower his chances in Rival's eyes to play early...

I can understand some of those criticisms, but I still don't understand how he's not one of the top 100 or even 250 players in the nation. Cassanova McKinzy is incredibly raw and doesn't have highlights nearly as impressive, yet they somehow justified putting him in the Rivals250. Kwon has the film, results, and athletic ability to justify ranking him in the top 100 prospects. And I'd be saying the same thing about Kwon even if I thought he was Bama bound.

Yeah, the fact that Kwon is a consensus top 3 OLB on Scout, 247, and ESPN shows Rivals may be a little off on this one. But I do agree with Magilla that he is gonna have to work on his coverage, along with Javy Mitchell

He was overhyped after his junior year. He's fast and has great instincts but he has some things he needs to work on. He needs allot of coaching up when it comes to coverage and he's undersized. You also have the knee injury.
He wouldn't have the offers or highlights he does if he wasn't a elite athlete. He could be a great special teams guy early and develop into a AA LB,but he needs a couple of years. I think Rivals has him ranked correctly.

I guess I just feel that Rivals is focusing too much on his negatives while ignoring his positives. On film, he is one of the best HS linebackers I've seen at shedding blocks, pursuing the ball, and stopping the run. Sure, he has some work to do with pass coverage, but it's not like he doesn't have the ability to be great in pass coverage. He just isn't asked to do it at Oxford, so he's inexperienced. As far as his size, he is a little undersized, but not glaringly. While it would be a problem in Bama's defense, he fits Auburn's defense perfectly.
Oh well. No matter where he's ranked, I do think Auburn could be getting a great, AA-potential linebacker.
