Harrod (6-foot-5, 315 pounds) took an official visit to see the Gators play this weekend and decided to become the team’s fourth pledge along the offensive line in 2019.

I upvoted you.

This is starting to shape up like I said it would, just have to give them some time.

Hopefully Florida State lays an egg tonight.

Taggart looking good here TJ. I said it on Gator board but you got banned..so let's just say it here. You were very, very wrong. Just like me and Kelly. Also great get!

Bro, give it a rest, trolling our own fans is like our players blocking themselves.

This was a fantastic week for the Gators recruiting wise -- both of our in-state rivals fell flat on their faces and we picked up a blue chip OL.

And most of all Franks looked like a QB. Let's focus on the positives.

Was it taggart who got the blocked punt? Threw the ints? Missed the TD? He had some terrible play calls but that team needs an OL as bad as we do. They have holes and talent problems just like we do. It was his first game and against a top 25 team and talented defense. Va tech would've done the same to us. We'll revisit this discussion in November but saying he's a terrible coach is premature at best

Just can't admit. Sad. TJ earned this by being an ahole to everyone on the Gator board. That and slamming Mullen because Tagg, the sub 500 coach who clearly has no clue how to coach on game day didn't come. So badly he got banned. I got hit hard for Kelly. He gets hit hard for this. TJ was point blank dead wrong. As we said(those who watched him at USf), he wasn't a great coach. Snake oil salesman. He can recruit. But he can't develop well and has no ability to coach in game. Basically Mac with recruiting ability

Guys it’s one game, Kirby almost lost to Norfolk State, and did lose to Vandy. Saban lost to UL Monroe, Butch beat Spurrier. It’s way to small of a sample size at least wait till year 2, to take your victory lap.

Bro, Florida State hadn't failed to score a touchdown in ten years.

They just got mopped up in a blackout home game opener against a middle-tier Virginia Tech who would have beaten them even worse if they weren't so weak.

They were missing their top three defensive players and Florida State couldn't get more than 3 points.

Taggart's a bad coach, his team looks extremely poorly coached. DBs are no where near collegiate level, they didn't even look for the ball -- out of position.

Their offensive line just got blown the frick up.

You don't lose like that unless you're a bad coach, Taggart wasn't even remotely ready for that game.

The play calling was truly horrible. Taggart alone to blame.

The review incident was just plain terrible coaching. Taggart

Taggart continued to do failed play after failed play with the outside run. Can't adjust as is well known by everyone who's seen his career. Deer in headlights when things don't work.

He called an actual time out for that slow building wildcat in the red zone knowing his oline couldn't block and runs outside gained less that 20 yards all night. Shows just how inept his play calling truly is when not vastly over talenting the other team.

I followed this man at USf. I saw his flaws first hand. He has discipline issues, organization issues, and struggles to adjust. He will never win big at any school. He doesn't have the qualities that you see in elite coaches outside of recruiting.

And I guarantee the recruiting part is going to be very difficult going further.

There is literally no way to spin that game. That was just a team that had no idea what it was doing by a coach who was in the same boat.

Blind leading the blind.

Okay overreaction Monday why not. We do this every year. USF was a MUCH better team under Taggart than they were under Strong. Believe that. Oregon was a MUCH better team under Taggart than they were under Helfrich. Believe that too. Virgina Tech isn’t a bad team and they have a HOF defensive coordinator. I wish we played them game one instead of game 12.

Did you guys actually watch the game? I mean, it's unbelievable that you guys are saying losing at home 24 - 3 isn't a sign of anything.

Virginia Tech didn't play well either. That's the worst part.

Taggart is 47-51. That record and what I saw last night is all I needed to see. Virginia Tech is an 8-4 team at best. They are not great by any stretch of the imagination. FSU was THAT bad and THAT inept. The looked ill-prepared, they looked lost, the coaches didn’t have any feel for offensive playcalling, their defense looked okay at times, but they should have given up more points if it weren’t for Va Tech’s self inflicted wounds. FSU looked like a badly coached football team.

And to tie this back to the recruiting board: it will effect their recruiting if they play like this all season.

Why are we talking about Taggart in a commitment thread?

Here is a perfectly good thread to shite on Taggart.

That remains to be seen. Taggart was nearly fired at USF.
