What are we collectively getting away with, specifically?

how would you and LSU fans feel if Charlie Strong was running a camp with Tulane?
Considering how strong LSU roots are with kids today, for the most part, he could go to Tulane all he wants.

As for Franklin, he's got to do whatever he can to improve his roster. Can't fault him for that.
That said, I do support the SEC effort to get this shite locked out. But if that doesn't happen, we need to change the SEC rule against schools holding satellite camps outside their states. They want to try to snipe our recruits? Fine, we'll set up camps in their backyard, too. Bleed the nation dry of talent (more than we're already doing).

We can only sign 25 a year.
But if you only have 15 scholarships available on signing day, and you sign 25 kids, you are by definition, oversigned.

UPDATE: The website 247sports.com is reporting that Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly also has plans for a “satellite” camp at Georgia State in 2015.
UPDATE II: Just spoke to Miles. He confirmed that Notre Dame coaching staff is coming to Georgia State next year and had a lot of great comments on this issue. Look for them later in the full column.
UPDATED: Here’s a link to the full column with comments from Georgia State coach Trent Miles, who doesn’t really care that SEC coaches are upset.

Frick him. I've gone to a few GSU games each season but I'm not going to support his azz now.

Are you saying the SEC doesn't oversign? Yes, the SEC still oversigns.

I like how you say "the SEC oversigns" as if it's a collective conference decision. It's different from school to school, but you wouldn't know that because the national football audience has been brainwashed.

Regardless of what James Franklin does, he will always be a giant bitch. He was the Merlins of the East.

Do you even know what you mean when you allege that the SEC (or any individual member school) oversigns?

I understand that certain schools in the SEC do not oversign. But again, if the conference has no rule against it, then it is by definition, a collective conference decision to allow oversigning.

Of course. The math is fairly easy to do, even for an Aggy.

25 a year.. PERIOD, and if you sign a guy who does not make it in, you lose that slot fir the year.( unlike Big Xii)
.. If you signed less than 25 for a year under the 85 limit, then you can count a signee back to that year or take a guy at midterm. Thems the rules.
