Isn't the semester almost over?
Its not too hard to figure out some eligibility right now before an offer is sent to someone.

Gus may have offered a while ago, but it seems like Jamarcus is just now a take again. It may be because it now appears he will qualify....or I may be wrong.

My guess baed on his offers and commital/non-commital is this. It didn't look like he'd qualify. UT UF pull off, auburn offer still on the table because he could possible qualify but commitment not really accepted because of grade. He then lets people known that he is going to qualify and we extend an official offer and he becomes a take for auburn if he still wants to be.
That's just my best reading into the scenario I can from the info in the thread.

bret probably asks the kid, his coaches and maybe even his own teacher what his grades are like. bret doesn't just recruit any kid.

He has wanted an A&M offer for some time and didn't get one, so I think there may have been some qualification issues. I believe he is visiting Baylor. Baylor is able to get many more kids in due to their curriculum and being a private school.

I'm sure that figures into it, but I think we've only had one player not qualify since Beliema has been here. That player was Jovan Pruitt, an OT in Bert's 2nd class, and I think they expected him to qualify.
I don't always understand Bert's logic, but he's definitely picky about who he recruits. We pass on a lot of players people wouldn't think we would pass on.

You might want to take a look at Bentley's kid too. Not a bad QB prospect. Don't think Auburn will go after him due to us already having a QB commit for that class but he's a solid prospect. Wouldnt be surprised if he wanted to follow to his dad.
