UPDATE: Quentin Grimes is transferring, according to Kansas coach Bill Self. Unusual deal. You don't see many players enter the draft, withdraw from the draft and then transfer -- presumably to sit out a year.

I hear A&M is in on him. Not sure if he’ll sit out a year of not. He grew up 90 min from Reed. If we can land him and Blackshear we just make make a little run.

I don't see a way for him to be eligible.

I think it’s not likely but I’ve seen years taken away for less.

That is not going to be dealt with for awhile.

For sure not before November.

His Mom told KU that he would be interested in his other choices.
Texas and Kentucky.
I don't think Texas really wants to use a scholarship. Don't know about Kentucky.

It is a 99.9% chance he is not eligible to play.

Think he ends up at Cougar High all said and done.

You have to use a scholarship for two years. Becomes a wasted scholarship in 2019-2020.

He was pretty underwhelming last season. I have no idea why he thinks is going to improve his game by transferring.

I would take him. We need all the help we can get. But he definitely did not look the part last year. At all

Rumor is he wants a school that will promise him the starting PG job.

Was pretty bad at KU being moved off the ball.

Houston and Texas A&M have been the two clear frontrunners for Kansas transfer Quentin Grimes. Per @JonRothstein, visits are coming this weekend.

Haven't you heard? People can transfer and get immediately eligible now easy-peasy. They just need to say, "I made a huge mistake. I should have gone to school _______." and they get immediate eligibility.

Kelvin Sampson and Cougar High was too difficult to resist.

I don't think it was in doubt where he was going

Matters what you use the scholarship for but transfers who sit out a year are a wasted scholarship unless they can make a huge difference

Not like any teams are playing 13 players a game, though.
