Take 24/7 with a grain of salt, but they said that the staff is very confident with where we stand with him. He grew up a Gator fan, he's an early enrollee. So I think if we can get him on campus one more time I'll be pretty confident in landing him.

We probably have no chance with him. Having said that, I think his father grew up an Arkansas fan.

We're losing everybody on our dline to the draft/graduation this year: Allen, A'Shawn, Reed, Pettway, Lake. Potential early playing time for DT/DE is actually something we can offer next year.

well if DT is anything like your pass rush position with tim williams, christian miller, rashan evans etc you probably got plenty of talent in waiting

I know his granddad is from there and a big gator fan. I also heard his mother really enjoyed the visit last week which she will play a huge role in where he goes.

One thing to keep in mind is that his mother hasn't visiting UA campus yet. Word from a connected UA guy (Chattabama knows the "clique" of folks I get info from) is that they feel like UA is 80% favorite to land Lawrence. Not sure if he got this info before or after Lawrence visited Gainesville, though. We'll see. I know Bama feels VERY confident right now.

I hope that is before the Gainesville visit.

UF's recruiting writers don't know shite at this point. He has been not been talking to them.

He is pretty quiet to media, for sure. Unusual for such an elite recruit. Almost refreshing in a way.

He either stays close to home or picks UF IMO.

The CB that Jason Pughe put in today is rather concerning if you are a Bama/UF fan.

I'm not aware of that, but I think his mother and father are both from Arkansas and that he still has a lot of family here. If one story I just read is accurate, he would have lived here until he was 8 years old.

His mother wants him at NC State or it would be her first choice. She wants him close to home so she can watch him play. He is only 15 minutes if that depending on traffic to the state campus. He has a lot of friends there and he is on that campus just about every weekend. I mentioned on the UA boards last week NC State is a big player in his recruitment. Another school that may get in the mix soon is Clemson. A lot closer than UA or UF even with road games. They are suppose to be setting up an OV there and may at USC as well according to reports. That tells me his mother is doing everything she can to keep him close to home.

Dexter wants to play in the SEC but I feel his mom is going to win out in the end.

I also disagree with if he goes away it would be UF. One of the UNC insiders for 247 who seems to be pretty knowledgeable in NC put his CB pick in for UA 3 days after he visited UF. The word around here is if it was his choice today he would pick UA, but his mother is still trying to get him to stay close to home.

His visit with family to UA a few weeks ago was huge because it was unofficial and his mother learned a lot about the school and really likes how Saban runs the program. UA is trying to get him to campus in December for his OV and him being an EE may seal the deal. The visit has not yet been finalized. Once it does it will be very telling where he ends up.

LSU side is saying Lawrence is playing the game with Bama right now (I know, I know), but people close to him and his family are expecting him to end up at LSU. I think Bama is a real player for him, especially if LSU continues to make a big push towards Rashan Gary. This will be an interesting battle.
