Yeah he was. I don't know much about Peters or Javon. Where do you think they are leaning at the moment?

No telling on Peters. LSU/OM/State I would surmise that will be the three. Patterson is going to stay instate IMO.

Patterson likely OM with Auburn his #2

Peters it'll be between State/OM/LSU. He's said state leads recently and his mom liked state's recruiting coach (Hughes)

This is probably true.

I know our recruiting sucks but the OL recruiting probably infuriates me the most. It seems like we are not even in the running for most big time OL even in state.

I have connections at Petal and State has been recruiting and will continue to recruit Javon, but he is very close with an Ole Miss family that has been taking him to games since he was in Elem.

Nope. Those folks live up in Memphis. Petal is right by Hattiesburg if your not familiar with Mississippi.

They have him listed as OLB right now on the recruiting sites. He's an excellent pass rusher, but I like the way he scrapes through blocks. I'd like to see him at MLB in college. I hope he likes LSU and I hope we pull him in. He will be the #1 LB at whatever position they put him at. If he has anywhere close to the Senior season as he had Junior than he may even be top 15 in the Nation before it's all over and done with. Clifton Garret was my favorite recruit of this past season and Leo Lewis will be my favorite next year. Between him and Mack. Mack is an animal.

I've seen this posted a few times over the last couple days by State mods.

Apparently he didn't start/play much as a Sophomore and he has come out of nowhere according to them.

How so? He's already being touted as a 5-star by multiple people.

Nobody even knew or had heard of Leo or Chris Jones until they both had film available. Chris Jones was just at a smaller school and had less people see him until fall of his Sr year. If not for Demetric Warren from Varsity Preps most of you wouldn't know about Leo either.

Demetric Warren represents everything wrong with recruiting in the MS Delta. Dude shops kids to schools, has a "recruiting site" as a front, and 247 legitimizes him for "insider info."
