He had a announcement set for the UA game, but the reason why he is announcing is that he recently found out he will be an EE and he is ready
He got the "making a commitment" speech on his visit to Ttown (Saban gives it to all recruits ready to end recruitment etc)
If the HC at WM pressured him to break an ESPN commitment to announce he would be run out of town so I don't trust that at all
He told Kipp Adams he was ready a week or so ago

Why you don't think that would be an issue? ESPN is airing more HS games than ever before and putting a sour taste in their mouth I assume would be a no no for any HS coach Im assuming

Yes because if he knows it is bama end it, and end the distraction, and allow lsu/bama to focus on a fill in OT. It's the right thing to do.

While it would be a beautiful thing to see all the top LA talent from this year play together... All signs indicate Friday's announcement won't go in LSU's favor.

Congrats to whoever gets him. Does it pain me to see a Louisiana kid go to Bama, sure. I have long been over being butthurt by this 18 year old kids that have to make a choice for themselves. They will always be other quality players to fill the needs and spots.
