Akers trolling errrbody. Update on volquest

It happens at 8pm est. and will be streamed live. I don't have anything new this morning other than someone telling me not to rule out LSU.
I gotta give Akers and his family a ton of credit. They have kept everyone over the map with this thing.
I talked to someone this morning who said no way it's Ole Miss. I talked to another who said the Rebels could be a compromise and noted one of the companies listed on the tweet of Akers announcement time is a big donor to the Rebels.
I think the family has been in communication with the Vols in the last 24 hours. But I don't think anyone knows his decision.

Nobody knows a damn thing, except for Ole Miss fans who think he's a lock

Pretty much. Hats off to Akers tho...he's played this masterfully imo

Someone, anyone, please drop a bag for this guy and keep him away from FSU.
I'd so much rather Lyle or O coach him than FSU have him.

I don't have any inside info or anything but i have a hunch it will be the Vols, i just know for sure it will not be UGA even though we will have a hat at the table.

Pretty Much. I have a feeling he has told people from every school he is a silent commit to them just to get them to leave him alone. There's no telling how much he gets bothered by Yancy or any of our insiders with constant questions so might as well tell them what they want to hear in order to be done with it. I'd imagine he'll notify each of the coaches about the decision an hour or so before making it public, and those will be the only non-family members that know anything before the announcement. I trust the unbiased 247 recruiting guys over any of the school's insiders and they're saying FSU so that's where I'd bet my money. Just hope it's not UT. Every prospect we lose to them goes to UT and becomes a huge bust that wants to leave.

I don't think Ole Miss fans expect him to sign with us at this point.

Akers is not signing with Ole Miss

We'd have more luck playing pick-up sticks with our butt-cheeks than signing Cam Akers.

I thought he was leaning LSU for a long time. What happened there?

I have no "sauces" but I don't think he is coming to LSU. The Tigers just offered Travis Etienne, and I can't imagine them doing that if Akers was coming.

Couldn't have said it better myself

This. You can rule out LSU.

He may have been, but it looks like they lost momentum with him before hiring Canada as the OC. If that had happened before the dead period and he could have gone in-home with him on that last visit, maybe things turn out a little differently. A lot of us hoped that the hire alone would kickstart interest again, since his scheme seems like an easy sell for RBs. Looks like it was just a little too late to have a shot at Akers.
