You make it seem like he wasn't being recruited just a few months ago.
You mean 9 months ago, he signed in December. At that point Alabama was not allowed to contact him any more.
Again, kind of hard to think someone just knows and has a change of heart like that...conveniently when Alabama really wants another ILB when one got kicked off the team a few weeks ago.

It's ~8.5 months ago. Not much has changed. I'm sure he didn't forget about everything that happened. With the season starting in less than a month, there's not a ton of time to sit back and reevaluate if you hope to play any this year.

Yep completely legitimate.

Apparently his dad wanted him to come to Bama all along. It’s really looking like he used the “family issues” as an excuse for leaving UW which would be shitty.

The guy was miserable in Seattle and realized he made a mistake. UW was kind enough to release him. Bama is where he wanted to be and now he has his chance. Kid is going to be a stud in 2019 and beyond. Needs to regain about 20 lbs he lost up in Seattle this summer.

I wouldnt say that, but certainly seems like Bama did some tampering there (Speaking to/recruiting a signed player), kind of interesting he literally pulls the trigger to Bama right after that release got granted, how convenient
But of course it was fine when Brandon Kennedy went to Tennessee. Or Mo Smith to Georgia.

All 3 situations are fine by me.

It only counts as cheating when Bama gets a transfer, but not when other teams poach our roster.

None of those transfer were weird but this one is

Do you have me on record saying those weren't fishy either?
At least they followed a former coach of theirs being the connection, now definitely to SECURE those guys they could have recruited them too, just like Bama probably did here as well.
Deflection isn't the way to go on this one, it's pretty much admitting you know something went on behind the scenes to get this guy

Right. Two Bama players following key Bama assistants to rival schools doesn't reek of tampering at all. I'm sure it was all on the up and up.

It’s more explainable then this. They followed the coaches they liked. Now it’s very possible there was something fishy going on with those two as well. But how do they seem weird and this one doesn’t? He had a family crisis and he used it as an excuse to leave to go closer to home but instead goes to the other side of the country.
There’s also rumors that his father was cash strapped after their divorce, was asking other recruits’ parents for money, and now is moving to Alabama. Now I don’t know how true that is but the whole situation is weird.

he never enrolled at Washington. He's free to go anywhere that has a open spot and a 2018 initial counter which bama does. He should be eligible immediately, but one would think he's going to have to redshirt because he will be behind the curve. Fall camp is already going. This really helps us for next year though
Dunno if it's been mentioned, but I read that he was like 30-40 pounds lighter I thought than when he'd left home. Definitely battling with some personal issues (sounded like 2 family members passed away among other things). I think it's highly unlikely he would do anything other than redshirt this year, but he's a hell of an athlete. Hopefully he gets his mind right in Tuscaloosa and can get back to performing at the level that he's used to. Good pickup. Hope you guys can get his head turned back around the right way.

Grad transfer and freshman transfer before enrolling are not even remotely the same thing. With that said, I'm not saying Bama cheated to get Kaho here either... that's ridiculous.

I agree the reasons have not come to light...bama needs the depth at mlb...he will get extra playing time esp vs the little sisters of the poors

Nothing wrong with bamians helping out the dad as long as Ale doesn't get a scooter out of it

Coach Peterson said he was leaving for "personal reasons." That could be family issues, and it also could mean being depressed by moving to a dark and rainy place like Seattle. The kid lost nearly 20 lbs this summer up in Seattle. Clearly was depressed. I think it was both family stuff and hating Seattle/UW. Nothing wrong with realizing you made a mistake. Bama was his 1st choice all along but didn't have the green light to commit in December when he signed.
That's sort of the danger with this early signing period, kids feel pressured to sign and not lose a spot before they're truly ready to make a final decision.

I’m a Bama fan. But had this been LSU or AU in this situation you guys would be saying the same thing.
