And to SOG's point it is the style of play that oats is selling , nothing to do with bama football. Almost every top recruit mentions the system when theyre asked about bama. We have a staff also thats very personable and no nonsense. Brandon Miller's father played football for stallings but in the end it was the scheme fit, family history was just the bonus. Bradley has watched 2 bama pgs become lottery picks recently... That means something.

Maybe Pearl can hire Wade as an offensive analyst in order to rehab his image. :)

How is Auburn convincing both kids to go there? Probably their outstanding ummm forestry program?

Could be the fact that they see Pearl about to send 2 kids to the NBA, who were both All-Americans at the positions that these 2 play.

Just spit balling here, but that might play into it some

Oats can recruit but he can’t develop talent. Prospects will realize this soon enough.

Based on what, exactly?

- Kira Lewis, a borderline Top 40 high school recruit, played so well in his only season under Oats he became the #13 overall pick in the NBA Draft

- Herb Jones and John Petty were light years more well rounded basketball players when they left Alabama than when Oats showed up

- Josh Primo was a borderline Top 40 high school recruit, played one year at Alabama and was the #12 overall pick in the NBA Draft

- Keon Ellis was a 3-star JuCo player who will probably be a 2nd round pick this year.

Alabama has 5 players currently in the NBA. 3 of them played for Oats and were drafted in the last 2 drafts.

What exactly is the evidence that he "can't develop talent"?

He had some of the top offenses in the country previous to this season. The biggest reason the offense fell off was Adam Miller getting hurt pre-season and out for whole year then Pinson on top of that missing significant time. Those were our only 2 true ball handlers.

NIL, plus the success of guys like Chuma Okeke, Isaac Okoro, Sharife Cooper, JT Thor, Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler.

Maybe you should ask Kira Lewis, Herb Jones, Josh Primo. As soon as Oats started coaching Alabama, players started getting drafted - and JDD and Keon Ellis will this year.

I wouldn’t say JD Davison was developed. He was hardly an impact player last year. I’d even venture to say Alabama will be better without him.

Keon Ellis, we shall see.
