I believe we were stacked that year at RB and were not looking to take an RB but would have made an exception for Fournette because he was that special.

That's actually true.

I guess that's why you signed Scarbrough. Not to be a RB.

Update on this saga - LSU just offered his brother Rodney Sophser in JUCO. First offer for him, looks like they are definitely going all in now.

They have to, considering all the bluechip DL Farmer Fran has missed on in this cycle.

Talk about a desperation move by Coach GumbeauxO to try to get an instate kid!

Sure it did.

LSU brought home so much hardware with him.
In the 3 years L7F played at LSU, they averaged 4 losses per year.

And LSU is still wasting a scholly on his brother.

616 carries for 3830 yards, 6.2 ypc, 40 TD
40 catches for 482 yards, 1 TD

Yeah, I mean, it did

Are you arguing we would have been better off without a guy who had over 4000 career yards and 40+ TDs? If so, good luck convincing anyone on that one

Which got you nothing.
Not trying to pound on you or your brethren cause i think that it was a good move on both accounts if it brings in the Elite talent. There are guys on all teams that probably shouldn't be there but like i said if it brings in the Elite guys then doing it every now and then doesn't bother me. Could pay off in the long run, especially with the Amite, LA players.

TEAM Accomplishments aren't 100% directly related to 1 or 2 guys out of 85, these are just dumb arguments here.

This. Anyone who argues that didn't work out well on our end is just kidding themselves. Leonard was an amazing talent who was extremely productive and worth 2 scholarships for sure. Nobody really cares what Lanard does at this point, Leonard more than put in the work for 2 schollies to be taken up, especially in a world you get to use 85 total.

If every so often we use 2 to get an elite talent, and the better half turns out to be great, it's a good use IMO. Now if Ish Sophser doesnt turn into a dominant level DLinemen, then that's another story.

I wonder if ISH commits to Alabama if LSU would still have the offer on the table to Rodney?

If I was their parents that would be the first thing I would ask Coach GumbeauXO.

Obviously not. They wouldnt accept signed papers from Rodney before Ish had his sent over.

I'm sure if it's not Bama it will be like Fournette and where he really wasn't wanted...

Needed***

Since LF signed with LSU, Bama had an RB win the Heisman and won 2 titles. How did his signing work out for you guys?

Bama whips y'all in so many major battles, really don't think the one you got on us lately is enough to fap to, but hey if you get Sopsher maybe you'll get to celebrate finally getting another one over on Bama

So a desperation move by coach GumbeauxO!

Like I said, it is pretty sad when the instate team has to do this to get an instate player.

Crack up all you want, if we land Ish and Lee commits to us, Bama would go 0/3 in Tangipahoa parish this year which is a big win for us considering all that's happened recently there.
