He will for next year. 2013 I feel will be a lot like 2011 class.

Losing Roof hurt. Say what you want about him as a coach, but he was a solid recruiter. He built a lot of good relationships with players, and BVG did all he could, but it just wan't enough.

Yeah, but we've got enough talent on D now, and BVG will make an impact on recruiting next year. We'll be fine.

Time for me to take a drive up the interstate and have a chat with Kozan. BRB

Take your time, you have until Friday... Both Auburn and Michigan are waiting on Diamond, loser gets Kozan...

I think we are fine without kozan. Save your time and money and find an edge rusher for the 2013 class.

Agree. Recruiting is all about relationships. BVG did not have enough time. I hope BVG is a better evaluator of talent that Roof or whomever scouts the D (esp LBs).

Should we call Darius Philon's coach? Would we take him back or does his coach have too much Bama in him? We do need defensive help.

Oh, absolutely. Not Saying BVG won't be able to get the job done in the future, but repairing this class was too tall of a task. Next year's class is going to be a very good one, no matter how limited in size it may be.

Again, another coach (Saban) says the guys who kept their commitment are high character. What does that say about TJ Yeldon Nick?

That he has as much character as Leff,Wallace and Adams.

I actually wouldn't mind Philon. He's a good talent with a lot of room for improvement.

I'll pass on Kozan. Never was that impressed with him, and he isn't a huge need. Rather save a spot for next year to be honest.

Yet, why come out and say stuff like this, when you know you actively try and convert already committed players? It makes you look even more like an arse.

I hope our coaches have more pride than this. I would rather lose all our games with true AU men like Leff, than take guys like Philon.

Why? We gave C. Grant another shot to come back...we let Blakely in after he picked UF...these are friggin kids who are influenced very easily...
