Good for aTm. These QB recruits need to stop being vaginas. i don't blame a school for not wanting to put their faith into a 17 year old to stay committed these days.

The same Elite 11 coach that told me that Kyle Allen would struggle in the SEC told me that Tate Martell was "raw".
A&M just hired the Mazzones' as (OC &QC), so I think us fans need to sit back and let them do their jobs. Btw...I heard nothing but excellent remarks about Coach Mazzone and Moorehead. They also said that Starkle is the "truth". They struggled with not making him the top QB at the camp.

i think they'll only have two or three scholarship qbs next year with martel included. i guess he doesn't think the other guy will get redshirted or something.

I have no idea if its related - but Martell's 'adopted' brother and the best player on that Bishop Gorman team (Tyjon Lindsey) is leaving the team and going back to LA. Tyjon's cousin is also leaving the Bishop Gorman team to go live with his family in California.
Tyjon has lived with the Martell's since the 8th grade.
Tyjon is a 2017 5* composite WR prospect (he's also one of the few people shorter than Tate).
Tyjon accounted for over a third of Martell's completions and 40% of his passing yards.

This is the reason you've had so many issues with QBs recently. You can't cater to the whims of a 17 year old and bet the future of your program on them. If he doesn't have the chest to compete with somebody else for the position I don't think he's a guy that's going to handle adversity very well. He sounds like a prima donna to me.

That 'pipeline' from Bishop Gorman to College Station that Tate was looking to build isn't looking all that secure. 4* DT from Bishop Gorman (and a kid Taylor Hamm just reported as close to committing to A&M) committed to Ohio St this morning.
