I'd go to SMU if I were a basketball recruit and play for Larry Brown

Tech is if I was a QB. I can be the big fish in a medium pond and still get drafted and be on AA teams

Yeah, it's not like A&M had a backup QB get drafted in the 4th round while Tech's AA did not.

I would not go to Texas or aTm, that is just me. It is not about what you think I should do. I rather go to Dallas and have a chance to go to a BCS or playoff game that way than go to Austin and Bryant/College Station. The only reason I would go to Tech is if I was a QB. I can be the big fish in a medium pond and still get drafted and be on AA teams, see Gilbert right now. You guys act like SMU is purgatory to the likes of Coog High, Teammate Killer Juco Vo-Tech, Nerd U, and Tortilla Chucker U.

Is it safe to say that this thread has officially jumped the shark?

NOW, after 800+ replies?

And you are comparing yesterday's Tech to today's Tech?

Not sure why? But then again people on this site think Leach was fricking genius and that Sumerlin cant coach and was only product of Case and JFF.

Wouldnt you prefer that? Today's tech struggles to make bowl games and lost to A&M in every sport for 3 straight years.

I actually agree with you about being a QB and going to Tech. I would still go to A&M because I'm biased but they would probably be my number two. SMU is a joke though

Texas - they have a top law school and I love the Austin/San Antonio area.

Austin and San Antonio are NOT the same area, and I'll thank you never to lump them together again

June Jones gets his guys at SMU a shot at the NFL plus he has coached in the NFL, so his staff and he knows what it takes. That is why I would go to SMU over aTm and UT, plus I wouldn't want to go there.

Pretty sure these are the top 2 most important things on every single recruits wish list. We are screwed!

I love San Antonio, Austin, and the area between them, particularly Canyon Lake/Guadalupe (aunt lives on it).

Next thing I will see on this board is that Waco and San Antonio are suburbs of Palestine/Tyler/Odessa.

Good gracious.

He will also probably not be the coach there in a year or two
