Yeah. Except you're 3-6 in the last nine "bowl" games you've played. 4-10 if you go back further.
Or you could say 2-0 under Sumlin...you know the current Head Coach.

it isn't surprising at all that he lost high profile recruits

So you are surprised a coach lost recruits after Brown left the job. Strong didn't have any relationship with those players, it isn't surprising at all that he lost high profile recruits.
Yes, I am very surprised that Alaka and Henderson were flipped. We didnt even offer Henderson until a week before he was supposed to report to Austin. Just because theres a coaching change, doesnt mean all your best recruits jump ship.

You mean the guy who hasn't won anything of significance and just lost the only reason they won any games the last two years? That guy?

And 2-0 under sumlin. Sorry we win our bowls and you lose to fricking Baylor

Thanks I guess.
Just expressing my opinion about the texas football program. It isn't like I have any special love for them.

I was just showing that you had a good class before Manziel ever played.
And we've had better classes since.

So the fact that Tbird posted is supported.

Ok. What's your point? Tbird said recruiting picked up significantly after Manziel's first season, which he used as evidence for sustained success in the future. I was just showing that you had a good class before Manziel ever played. So the myth that Tbird posted is debunked.
The difference between 16th and 5th is about 10 4/5 stars. HTH

You don't have to have special love to knight for them

Go 'head on, namesake. You're doing admirably.

We don't really consider a 16th ranked class good anymore, at least I don't.
We sat in the 15-30 range with Sherman while we were around .500 with a boring head coach. We have had more success on the field and gotten a ton of exposure so we now expect to be in the top 10-15 recruiting wise every year. If we win 7 games the next three years it will obviously drop off.

Yep that guy, the one who took a team that most didnt think would make a bowl game for 3 years and turned them into a top 5 team overnight.

It certainly can, when the coach that left was a national championship winning coach and the guy that comes in is a hard nosed defensive guy whose style may not entice the previous commits.
I would wait until Strong has a full season (both regular and recruiting) before assuming you will dominate texas recruiting for his entire tenure.

Yeah. Now that you have had two solid recruiting classes, success on the field is a formality.
Texas the last 3 seasons says hi.
So does Florida
And USC
and Notre Dame
And Tennessee
etc.

I agree. I'm not making the argument Strong will suck....YOU are making the argument the hiring of Strong has already turned the table, which I think is premature. Let's see what he does next season. If texas goes 8-5 or something, the outlook isnt going to be good.

Your 2012 class was ranked 16th. The 2013 class was ranked 9th. Not a huge leap, especially not big enough to use as evidence for sustained success in the future.
The 2012 Arkansas class was ranked 28th. A year later after the JLS debacle, our class was ranked 23rd. I guess the success of John L. Smith was the catalyst for our improved recruiting.

One of those 5 programs doesn't belong. Which one do you think it is?

Amazing how quickly the sip goalposts moved from "aggy will always be an SEC bottom-feeder" to "NOW aggy will drop off," ain't it?
