Why do you think that?

Because recruiting has picked up significantly since the advent of his success.

I love that you continue bringing up our loss last year to Baylor, like one game we lost to an 11-2 team on a down year somehow corresponds to A&M's future success in our state.
To answer your question, I think having a proven, defensive minded coach will do wonders for our team, but I am not going to be unrealistic and expect a national championship next year.
I'm sure you guys are right there in contention though, huh?

You said aggy would have "sustained success" just because Manziel went there. Your evidence is two classes?

Don't forget that your 2012 class was ranked 16th, before Manziel ever played.

That 11-2 team got drubbed by UCF in the postseason.

Also, that was your second straight year getting poleaxed by said team.

Literally not one Aggie has said that about next year.

That is all the evidence available at this point, is it not?

Recruiting has improved for us in that time, has it not?

Manziel's success at A&M was a catalyst for that, was it not?

Which further bolsters my point

Our 4 losses last year were to two teams with 12 wins (one playing for a NC) and the other two both with 10+. But it doesnt stop longhorns from shouting from the rooftops we had 4 losses.

Would you prefer to talk about the Ole Miss/BYU/Oregon games instead?

So you are surprised a coach lost recruits after Brown left the job.

Strong didn't have any relationship with those players, it isn't surprising at all that he lost high profile recruits.

I'm generally no fan of the Aggies, but I think I like this Longhorn a little less. What does a guy have to do to get a Big 12 fan banned from the SEC Rant?

I wonder what their defense would have given up to Manziel. MANZIEL.

And this is rich coming from y'all's pathetic showing in the Alamo Bowl

Yeah. Except you're 3-6 in the last nine "bowl" games you've played. 4-10 if you go back further.

Ok. What's your point?

Tbird said recruiting picked up significantly after Manziel's first season, which he used as evidence for sustained success in the future.

I was just showing that you had a good class before Manziel ever played. So the myth that Tbird posted is debunked.
