Bro just admit it, Overall Texas is just the better school, town, and program.

Recruits don't care about the current state of the program, facilities, competition, exposure, or with coaching staffs. They are only obsessed with historical facts, didn't ya know?
Caterpillar absolutely crushing skulls on this thread...
Definitely trying to convince someone of something with all this effort.

Well according to the stats posted above you've been ahead of them in 1 of the last 10 recruiting rankings. So I'd say I'm correct.

We've actually finished ahead of them in two of the three classes Sumlin has had. The only one where they finished ahead of us was 2012 where he had 2 months to close it out

And he still flipped a 5* receiver from them

We went from like the mid to high twenties to a top 15-20 class in the two months after he was hired in 2012

I'm curious how many chirping about Austin being a great city have actually been there. It was a great and fun city when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and I was at A&M. But I drove through recently and I don't know how those poor schmucks don't go completely insane. I never left the interstate and never exceeded 15 mph, from 20 miles north of Austin to 20 miles south. This was on a weekday, about 1PM. I don't want to think about what 5PM must be like.
Are all those cheering for Austin also from ridiculously large cities who spend hours every day in their cars? Or have you just not been there in the last 10 years or so?

People wanting to play road games in empty stadiums in Ames Iowa. Good fricking lord, y'all.

you do understand that the series is so crazy because for the most part of our history we were a glorified division two school right? I mean them keeping track of the record from the 50s is like us keeping track of when we play sam Houston state

I have a feeling I will regret trying to introduce any semblance of knowledge to this thread, but...
This question should have been phrased, "As an out of state recruit with no ties to the state of Texas...Texas or Texas A&M?".
The simple fact is that both schools rely heavily on homegrown Texas recruits to fill out their rosters. Not every kid who's good at football and lives in Texas likes the Longhorns, Austin, the persona of the school etc. and vice-versa.
I'm curious how many people raging in this thread about Longhorn superiority are actually from the state. Most people don't really understand the divide between people here, athletes included, and their preference for either school has nothing to do with football.
TL;DR Unless this question is posed to OOS people, it's kinda stupid.

Now you are using us as a justification to pick you

Much better question. OOS I guess would depend on position. A mobile QB or BA WR might want Am. But a Dline or Lbers maybe UT.
