Signed two absolute monsters in jump track circuit from not only NikeU's backyard (Portland) but also Europe.

The euro is a JC kid.
So your "brand" reached to Iowa.

Our T&F brand reached Europe a long time ago.

How did Arkansas become a track giant? That's not a troll, I'm genuinely interested. How did this all start? It's not like it was an influx of in-state speedsters or anything. Was there a legendary coach or how did that work?

John McDonnell
Also as its my understanding fayetteville is a great place to train for track. The city is nothing but hills.

Nothing to do with the state, but everything to do with John McDonnell.
At one point, Arkansas was the home to the worlds fastest man and woman.
Arkansas has always had strong Jamaican ties in recruiting. Plenty of UK runners as well.

Speaking of McDonnell, he's Irish and was hired by Arkansas in 1972, so our Europe reach is nothing new.
Our T&F success is at least part of the reason why we're 7th in the current Directors Cup standings and the only SEC school in the top 30.

I continue to be more and more impressed every day with what Page View U accomplishes both on and off the field.

I lived in a relatively small apt. complex in Fayetteville that had 2 Olympic gold medalists in 04.

There isn't really an influx of instate talent to succeed at anything. Arkansas has incredible facilities and has done a good job of leaving the State for players in all sports. If Arkansas had to rely on Arkansas kids they would be in pretty bad shape.

Quite a bit of African talent as well.
